It is not a pin ball simulator, more a strange and fairly original game with a ball and flippers. I never enjoyed it, however.

I played many other pinball games before and never could play them very long before i would get very bored. I was a bit skeptical about this one at first, but to my suprise this was the best pinball game of them all. The graphics, sounds and music are great. Story mode is a blast. Its more then just slaping a ball and bouncing it back and forth. Play it and you too will be convinced. I would give it 6 stars if i could.
Most gaming fun I've had in years...

I first got the demo for this game, and I was immediately hooked. When I purchased the full version, I was pleased to find more of the same things that originally made me love this game.
The game uses the Unreal engine to its advantage. Most of the graphics are really nice. The sounds effects are fantastic. The gameplay is challenging and fun and frustrating.
My only complaint is that the game seems to have a few small flaws that only show occasionally, like a ball will travel straight through a paddle and be lost. Or sometimes you complete the level, but the game doesn't register that that's what you've done and won't let you advance. Other than these things, Adventure Pinball is a riot.
**********
I FIGURED IT OUT: The problem with completing a level and not advancing is that you can only advance when playing through the Story ~ If you select Play Table, you are not able to go to the next level! This makes sense, if you think about it, but it's hardly intuitive.
One of the better pinball simulations!

When I first heard that a developer was creating a pinball game around the Unreal engine, I was a bit skeptical. I'm more used to pinball simulations like the 3-D Ultra games, and the Balls of Steel collection, where it's more a 2-D playing field, and I couldn't imagine why such a powerful engine was needed for a pinball game. But then I downloaded the demo and realized that my concerns were unfounded.
So far, all I've played is the demo, but I'm hooked. The game is similar in theme to 3-D Ultra's The Lost Continent, where each table is a part of a more complete game, but there seems to have been more time and thought put into the tables. Each one has a significant mission, and as the package indicates, each table gets a little bit harder than the last. The developers tried to -- and succeeded in -- using the setting to their advantage, so that if the ball hits a caveman, he might throw it into another table. If the volcano blows the ball sky-high, it comes down as a lava ball, and dousing it awards you with a nice bonus. The 3-D engine gave the developers a chance to play around with the conventions of computer pinball simulations, and they appear to have taken it in the right direction. It's clever, and also challenging.
If I had to complain, it would have to be regarding the controls. I couldn't find a section where I could change the flipper keys to something I preferred, and my hands kept slipping off the keys at the worst times. This might be an option available in the full version, but for the moment, it's frustrating. Also, the scrolling screen (an option I've always hated) takes a little getting used to, and it gave me a headache the first time I played it. Since then, though, I've adjusted to it, and I play it more than I probably should.
Basically, Adventure Pinball is a fun game, and I plan on purchasing the full version soon!
Great 3D Pinball Experience

I was very pleased with this computer-version pinball game. AsI played the game, I became more and more appreciative of all of theclever modes of play that transpired. I have other pinball games, butthis one is definitely at the top of the pack! If you really want toenhance the 3d effect of this game, and many other computer games, getyourself a pair of steroscopic glasses; just be sure that they are ofa type that works with 3dfx and Glide... Stereoscopic glasses makeyour pseudo3d turn into real 3d!
