A Classic

SNES has been "dead" for some time now, but I just discovered this game at my cousins house, and for me it was the perfect reason to bring out the SNES. Everything about this game is right on. The graphics are as good as can be expected from a 2D 16-Bit game. Each of the different boxers has many different animations and poses, and it will take a different strategy to beat each one. The sound is superb, even better then some of the pitiful sound that is on 128-Bit games. The controls are VERY simple, and anyone should be able to pick this one up within five minutes. The difficulty level on this game is great, it is challenging, but not to the point where you don't want to play anymore. The first boxer is fairly straightforward, but from then on out it will take strategy to beat them. Overall this is a fabulous game, anyone who likes to play classic games, or anyone with a SNES needs to own this. Highly, recommended.

I bought this for my 7 year old son. Soon, my husband began to play... then my daughter began to play. It is fast paced and easy to get started playing. The higher you are ranked, the tougher your competition. They all have different styles and first you must figure out your opponent's style before you can beat him and move up.

right after K.O.'ing the first boxer i knew super punch out was a great game.First of all the first boxer in career mode is very easy but after that every boxer has a different skill that you will have to figure out how to counter for example raging bull, likes to do his bull charge on you and if you dont counter it he will knock you out in one punch. This game is great for a 16 bit system i have had this game for 5 years and i still play it because it is one of the best boxing games to ever hit super nes. When i first got it i assumed it would be a boxing game that would be fun but get old fast but alas i was wrong instead of being fun for five minutes it has been fun for five good years. This game is rare and old so if you whant it you better get yourself a copy before you will never find it anywhere again and than you will be crying because you had a chance a few months ago to buy it but now it is nowhere to be seen.

Not exactly fond of boxing, but this is fantastic

This is a total classic as it brings the original Nintendo game into better light with far more competition, challenge and cartoon violence. You are the boxer, "Little Mack" or "Little Joe" one of the two, and you must work your way up through the boxing circuit by ofcourse fighting in bouts finally getting to one of the titles. I recommend renting it first before playing it, because I am sure its not for everyone.

Man this game is one of the best games on the snes. I don't have this game but every time I go to a Hotel I order it like 4 or 5 times. This game is really challanging there are 3 or 4 leagues that you play in and each 1 is harder than the 1 before.

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST GAMES EVER FOR SNES THERE ARE ONLY ABOUT 3 REALLY GOOD GAMES THEY ARE SUPER PUNCH OUT, WWF RAW, AND BATTLETOADS AND DOUBLE DRAGON.

Quick Knock Outs Make This Game Great

This game is quite a bit easier to complete than the NES version. It's not quite as classic or memorable as the original, but it's still a great game. It's really fun to figure out how to beat each of the characters. After some practice, you can get good enough to score some very quick knock-outs. It's darn fun trying to get a new fastest knock-out time for each character.

The rapid-punching option is certainly a marked improvement over the NES version, and I rarely shy away from using it. I love using the rapid-punches, I love beating the goofy characters, and therefore, I love this game.

Super Punch Out comes from a long line of Nintendo games that's easy to learn how to play, but challenging enough to keep you entertained for hours. The first fight teaches you the basics: punching, blocking, dodging, and the variations on the Super Punch. Soon, you'll get so good, you almost feel sorry for Gabby Jay.

Then the challenge kicks in with the next person. As with the original Punch Out, this game requires the gamer to learn the patterns of their opponent. But unlike the original Punch Out, you can be aggressive and beat the holy heck out of them without needing to only counter-punch after dodging. This makes Super Punch Out a step above the original by far.

The graphics were good for its time. Don't expect realistic graphics when playing this game. Just as the cover, it resembles some sort of cartoon with every character existing larger than life. But this is normal for Nintendo at that time. The game's just goofy fun, so the graphics reflect that.

My only minor complaint on the game is the lack of Rounds. The gamer only has one round to destroy his/her oppponent. Fortunately, this is more than enough time. But still, I enjoyed the three rounds from the original Punch Out.

The game will not take very long to beat and it has some good replay value. If you have the chance, purchase it.

I loved Super Punch-Out when it first came out and I play this one once in a blue moon. Instead of a boxer named Mac, you have a boxer you have to give a name. The good points of this game are plenty: Your rapid punches and super hooks are devastating to your opponent, you can gain back your energy bar by pressing buttons(after you lay your opponent out of course), you have a good time beating the snot of these guys etc. The bad points are plentiful too. A lot of these opponents cheat. Dragon Chan KICKS you while you're fighting(Disqualify him now!),Hoy Quarlow hits you with his staff, Mad Clown throws balls at you in the middle of the match, Heike Kegaro hits you with his, her or it's hair, one of them spits in your face blinding you temperarily etc. Super Macho Man is one of the most annoying opponents in the game. When he's not flexing his muscles in your face like a fruit cake, he throughs a hook that knocks you out immediately. At one time, he threw that spinning hook at me SEVEN TIMES(and the seventh one caught me)! The most exruciating out of all your opponents is definitely the Bruiser brothers, Rick and Nick. I cant complain too much because I've beat the game a few times and Narcis Prince is a nancy boy. In short, Super Punch-Out is better than its predecessor, Mike Tyson's Punch Out and is recommended to any fan of boxing video games. LONG LIVE SUPER NES!!!
