bad idea !

At first I thought this game would be like real-time animation(EX:cartoons on T.V.) BIG FAT DISAPOINTMENT ! The graphics are poor, and the sound is sometimes crackly and boring . plus, there's also a small glitch in this when you try to animate . Some of the objects are kinda fruity and the default music is quite annoying because it plays over and over the SAME tune ! The only good thing I liked about this
off-color software was the bug-swatting game . Don't let the ads fool you because its not that good as it looks . If you expected something with a nice blend of smooth animation and good graphics, then you will be veeeeeeeeeeery dissapointed . try borrowing it or something first . You might see what I mean .

the people at nintendo needed a new game idea.they wanted to make a squiggley, image stamped, trashy art game.but they knew any self-respecting nintendo fan would stay away.so they put the name mario on it and then everybody liked it.they even added the feature of using a mouse.idiots.

My older sister got this game when it came out in 1992, when I wasn't even a year old. It's original, fun, but I hate the Super NES mouse, that you have to use! It comes with a pad that you scroll it on, but I lost that 4 years ago. No I have to use notepads, dictionaries... Ahhhhhhh!!! So I gave it to my younger sister when we plugged up our secod Super NES in her room. Yet, it's still a fun game where you draw using an alive brush with a face, arms, and legs. There are a couple of mini-games also. In one of them you can your own song using Mario heads, baby Yoshis, Mushrooms, Starmen, and lots of other items, once you finish Mario plays it. This is called Paino Keys. The other one is called Coffee Break, where you use the mouse as a fly swatter and you try to get hit flies, bees, wasp, Bob-Omb spiders, and then a huge robotic grey wasp with every attack and you have to hit it like 8 to 18 times depending on what level your on (there are 3 levels). Overall it's a medium game.

Surley you cant expect an SNES game to make flawless animations, and of course the music is repetitive. A long song would mean less features, and i dont think the programmers would like to make a 10 minute song. Yes, the mouse sucks, but it just takes a little getting used to. This is a game for ages 10 and under, not for hardcore gamers. If your a collector, get it, its a classic. If your lookin to expand your boundries and beat every SNES game, dont get it. Overall, its a fun game (i used to play it for hours on end when i was younger). If your looking for similar, get the game Fun N' Games( a Paint program with a few extras (more than mario paint, but no animation)

Great when you're 8.

I was around 5 or 6 when this game came out and I LOVED it!!! I made my parents rent it from the video store CONSTANTLY. I always wanted a copy and now, as an adult, I am buying it for my little one. While, I don't think I will enjoy it as much all grown up, I think my 4 year old could get some use out of it, and I will enjoy the memories. This is a great game for the younger croud. But remeber when it was made, don't expect fabulous graphics. It makes "Paint" on your computer look sophisticated. And the music creator on it it very simplistic, but it sparked a love of music theory that carried me through college. The good news is you can let your kids be creative and not have to worry about them getting into anything they shouldn't be into on your computer or your home.

I didn't even know what this was until I bought it, and I love it. I see a lot of similarities between Mario Paint and Photoshop. The main difference is that Photoshop has a lot of weird tools I don't understand, and Mario Paint has more than just "Paint" stuff. The intro is interactive, it has a Mario-themed music editor, and it has a Swat-the-Bug game. You can do lots of kool stuff with Mario Paint.
