I got this game when I was twelve or so and today I still play it. From the plot to the game play to the puzzles this game it one that should be in the history books for Best Role Playing Games. It's right up there with Final Fantasy 6/3. I enjoyed the first title of Lufia but this one captivated me from start to finish. After beating the fist Lufia I wanted to learn how each of those four main characters came to be and with Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals we all found out how they came into play. The puzzles in this game make you think but once you solve them it's worth it. The music is rather good too but one thing I do find annoying is that when the characters talk the words make a noise but you get used to it. Highly recommended for any RPG fan out there.

10 years after its release in the US, and it is still an amazing game. The graphics were not what made the game. it was the story and gameplay, which to this day i consider to be unmatched. even as a prequel, it keeps your attention. i consider it the greatest game of all time.
We all loved to play it.

We all enjoyed this game and had fun. My oldest boy lists it as one of his favorites. The ending kept me from giving it 5 stars.

Well as I talked about in the my review of Lufia, this is what it's all about. Not pretty graphics (which are nice) but a story that graps you. As a prequel you can't get much better. Everything is explained and comes together from the first, things you questioned and wondered about, it's all here. On it's own it's still a great game. A story full of twists and turns. Characters that leave you wondering how much can they take, how far the can go. What will lie down in the dark depths of the next dungeon. That's right, old school, dungeons with staircase imblems. Intersting features that you can releate to in more modern times (equipment that give you special attacks). It's just one of those games that came from a great idea and got made better. Once again a solid game to see where modern day RPG get there heirtage.

When I was six years old my brother and my mother always played games in there spare time. They loved to rent games on the weekends. One day my mother came upon a Lufia 2 rise of the sinistrals. I begged my mother to rent the game for me. She did and when I got home that night I began to love the game. Every weekend we rented this game. Two years later my mother started teaching me how to read and pronounce the words in the game. For the next three years I asked if they would sell the game to us ,but they saying no.A few mounths later it was gone they said they sold it to the local pawn shop. When we got there it had already sold. Buy your game to day before it is all gone

For 1996, this is one of the greatest RPG's ever. Ya I know that was 6 years ago, but the Super Nintendo is still the king of RPG's, and the best RPG's will probably always be on there, as 2D graphics were mastered during this time. Nintendo is making a good choice in reproducing such games as this onto the GBA.
Lufia II is actually before the times of Lufia I, and you play as the stars Maxim, Selan, Guy, and Artea as well as others in the quest to remove the Sinistrals. In the love story behind Maxim and Tia, the unintelligent Dekar, the overintelligent Lexis, the Compassionate Artea, The understnding Selan and of course Guy, all venture to the [Fortress of Doom] to rid the world of the Sinstrals.
Lucky for me I haven't finished the game so I dunno the whole game. Lufia II is truly Final Fantasy's competitive RPG. FF Fans'll love the turn-based System as well as the Romance; truly the Golden Sun of its time.
A toast to many a sleepless morning. . .

This game, in my childhood, was the beacon of wakefullness. I would awaken at 3:30 AM to play for four hours straight until I went to school where I would think about its greatness until I came home, only to play for another few hours. This perfectly describes its pull and incredible execution. The battle system was markedly improved over its limping predecessor, and the storyline served compulsion to the very end. This was a prequel of sorts to Lufia 1, and what a brilliant story it is. I wouldn't want to ruin the story for any prospective buyer, so I won't divulge any details, but take my humble word for it--this game is very worth your money and should be a part of anybody RPG lovers library.

Being an RPG fanatic, I was immediately attracted to this game. In my 12 years of gaming, it is possibly and most likely the BEST game I have ever played! The graphics are outstanding for the console (I love games with more animated looks) and the controls are very easy and quick to learn! The music was composed wonderfully and the storyline! Cool characters, each with their own unique personality, guide you through a magical world in order to save it (sounds cliche, but in this game, it isn't!).The battles are awesome as well! You cannot call yourself a devout lover of fantasy RPG's without owning Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals! GO OUT AND BUY IT TODAY!!!
