this game is so cool. sometimes you can be a blue ball, but not all the time!!!
most of the time you're not!
a blue ball!
you can be a cat, a fish, a penguin, and a walrus thing. i love this game so much because the bad guys make you scared. sometimes they can be bad but if you play good, theyre not bad at all! i like the cat a lot. i forgot his name though. i think it might be Scratches or Gizmo. maybe next time ill find it out.
A horrible game

I don't undestand how anyone could find Claymates a good game. The main problem of the game is that there's no point. There are no neat secrets to find, there's no reason given for trying to advance into the next stage or collecting the useless bonuses scattered all over the stage, and the game certainly isn't fun enough to keep playing. The stages are horrible messes, with jewels and random items scattered all over, without any clear plan of how to go about gathering all this junk. Floating platforms and warp blocks work completely counterintuitively, and often cause the player either complete boredom with their lack of speed, direction and excitement, or frustration by working against the player. The controls are horribly sludgy (goes with the clay theme, perhaps?), and the whole game design has a really amateurish feel to it, like it was put together by a substandard 'make your own platformer' program. The graphics are ugly, both too colourful for their own good and too messy compared to the standard SNES graphics quality. Horrible, ear-wracking overcheery music adds to the discomfort. Add inane difficulty that has more to do with poor design than challenge, and the irreversable transformations from one clay animal to the other that the player has little control over. Some of things in the game are impressive, like how fast the mouse character is, but the good of Claymates is miniscule compared to the bad.
Very fun and entertaining

This game is one of the many games that i prefer to the new games with outstanding graphics. This game was one that kept me playing for weeks and weeks unlike games that have come out in recent year that i finish in under one week. Recently i have been playing this game (as in comparison to when i played it when it first came out) because of this games ability to addict you. This is a game that is a must for any gaming expert in need of a challange that keeps you working.

This is definately one of the best, most imaginative games for the snes. Above average graphics, play, fun.
