True Swing Golf is a nice and relaxing game that is a lot of fun. The single card download play takes a whle to load but worth the wait. Single player has a nice array of customization to it to keep it interesting. Good game.
Much much better than these reviews indicate

I am someone who is quite difficult when reviewing games so I have to admit to some surprise when seeing some of the reviews here. I find this game to be possibly the best golf game I have playeed and I have played just about all of them. I can only guess that some have not given it enough time because the more you play, the more you realize the amazing amount of control you have on your shots. The graphics may not be great, but they are more than good enough. This game is awesome.

but, I really enjoy this game! The graphics are good and the play
is right on. My only gripe is, I can't make the golfer look like me!

Like you have been reading, this game is not good in the presentation dept. The touch swing controls are excellent however. This imo, trumps the analog swing style employed in console games in the last 8 years. This may be the best controlling golf game I have played, and you'll find many courses and great stat tracking to keep you playing much longer then most handheld games. I own 20 ds games and every system and this game gets no love, even if the touch screen implementation is some of the best out there. Well worth the $20.
Fun to play, and way cheaper than that "other" golf game.

We bought Tiger Woods golf, and I honestly wasn't impressed. My husband is the golf player/fan in the house, but I have a slight interest. We played "True Swing Golf" for the first time last night, and we both really enjoyed it. It was easy to figure out and fun. I loved sending little messages on the screen back and forth as we played. I really enjoyed this little golf game, and you can't beat the price compared to that "other" game.
Love this game!

Way worth the $9.99 price...fairly simple to play, but good graphics and different courses keep you challenged. Best feature is wireless head to head function -- best when both of you have the game as you can play lots more courses and have more options. But overall this is a fun golf game worth hours and hours of game play.
My first and still favorite DS game

This was the first DS game that I purchased and I still play it all of the time. The stylus swing is very Wii-esque and can be challenging. I have played with others via download play who do not own the game. You can play them on three different 9-hole courses if they do not own the game or on any course if they do. If you like golf video games, this is a must-have.

This game was a waste of money for me because I couldn't find anything that explained how to play it. Maybe it's me--I'm an adult who likes to play computer games; so, perhaps it's an age thing. I also bought a casino game and the instructions left out one important bit of information--I finally figured it out; but this one has me baffled. I think it's another one of those situations where the games are made in a foreign country and when the instructions are translated to English, most often, important factors are lost in the translation (like the instructions for my Zenith LCD television!).

I definitely love some of the greatest challenges in sports video games. Well it might be all worth its money, there are times to where the game isn't worth the dollars it has been made out to be. FOr golf games, they've been mostly no acception. Although there have been highly successful editions like Mario Golf for the Nintendo Gamecube, that hasn't been chipped in with other games like Tiger Woods PGA Tour. That could possible be said with what needs to be percise for the Nintendo DS too. Although there has been many noticibles, could Nintnedo DS have a decent golf game of their own?
True Golf Swing for the Nintendo DS is a interesting kind of gold game, but it definitely doesn't have all the makings of a hole in one. The object of the game is very simple, you have to try to score big in your games and holes, inorder to unlock much more advanced levels and trickier courses. The control here in the game of course is completely conjured with the stylus. Here you need to use your stylus percisely, to make a great swing shot across the fairway. Although that might seem easy, it absolutely isn't. One wrong miss, and you'll be penalized with an extra stroke. The graphics does fair very well and the sound is definitely masterful toward each one of the courses in detail and design, but it isn't really enough to make it a must buy.
All in all, True Swing Golf isn't one of the best games out there for the Nintendo DS, but it is good for die hard golf fans. For others who have a realistic desire to make a hole in one, I absolutely suggest that Nintendo DS owners wait for a better golf game to eagle with.

This game is frustrating based on the lack of "Frills" it offers in this day and age. It has about as much play modes as a super nintendo golf game or something. BUT, for some reason I always want to play it. The basic play mechanics are just that fun. When you are in the zone it seems like the easist game in the world, 10 minutes later you might want to throw your DS at a wall in anger. Just like real golf. It just sort of feels like real golf a lot of the time which is probably the best thing that can be said for a video game simulation. If they make a sequel and they beef up the rest of the game, we could be looking at a real classic.
