I did not like the way this game was designed, and gave it away to a friend.
I wont buy Deadly Dozen games, and I will not buy any of the Medal of Honor games.
I hate squad games...

I bought Dirty Dozen and played it last year. It was ok... Had some fun times and some pretty frustrating times with it. I have the Demo for this one and it looks pretty much like the original. That's not a knock on it. I enjoyed the graphics and atmosphere. But, like the first one, you have to constantly look over your shoulder to see where the other squad members are. You're trying to sneak up on a Jap bunker or something, and you take cover only to look behind you and see your squad members standing out in the open! What idiots! I resolved that problem to a certain extent by ordering the other guys to "Hold your positions!" and moved one man at a time... Yeah, I'll complain about it, but I'll probably buy it when I can afford it... Again, as with the original, you shoot an enemy in the head with a Thompson Submachine gun, with .45 caliber slugs and he still comes at you and shoots you... Geez... The gameplay is good, but somebody needs to tell these designers what happens when you get shot with a .45 slug...
Very decent game, but a few annoyances

The environmental graphics are excellent, though a little repetitive at times (the snow level is a nice touch!). The grass, trees, etc, are very impressive. The animations of your squadmates could use a little fine tuning, however. They just don't have the sense of being 'grounded' and real like in Ghost Recon, for example. Also, the framerate seems to chug at random times. It will run smooth for a while, and then slow to an unplayable rate. Turning down the detial levels doesn't help, and yuo just have to wait. It seems to happen in certain areas of cretain levels. It could, I guess, be a problem with my computer, too, but I have not seen it in any other games.
There are some pathfinding AI problems (getting stuck behind trees and rocks and such), and sometimes your guys become deaf, and don't hear your commands. The guns are cool, though I noticed the ammo usage on the Japanese machine gun is a little wierd. It sounds like its firing super fast, but it uses ammo at about the same rate as the BAR. Strange.
It is very nice to be able to use just one or two guys at a time, and leave the rest behind somewhere. However, there is one more thing here that has bugged me and prompted more than a few start-overs: when you are playing as the sniper and sneaking around, and you switch to a different guy, the sniper will often often INSTANTLY fire on an enemy you didn't see, and bring the entire Japanese army down on your posistion (the AI sniper isn't a very good shot, either).
Even with these annoyances, I still found myself playing through the missions one after another. The world is engrossing (the full bio on each character is cool) and the combat is rather intense.
Bottom line: It's not Ghost Recon of WWII, and it's not Wolfenstien Ghost Recon Style, but it is a fun game. The graphics are good, but not cutting-edge. Besides, it is one of the only games that let you fight in the Pacific Theatre. It is well worth the low $$$ price tag.
What are you shooter fans waiting for

I have just finished this game and if you like first or third person shooters and haven't bought this GET IT.12 great missions that take you all through the pacific and its not a bore. The enemy sometimes can be standing right over you as you hide in the grass. You lay there and sweat it out as to whether you'll be discovered and be killed. So shooters while you wait for Hidden & dangerous 2 Wolfenstein 2 or Condition Zero pick this up.It will only get cheaper as time goes on but its first rate for what it is.
Misinformed!!!

I bought this game thinking it would not be a resource hog, big mistake!! The requirements mentioned nothing about having a 128mb vram video card. My system is nothing close to that, needless to say I experienced almost no frame load... What I could see of the graphics was ok, but like I said, without the proper video card, you better leave this one alone.
Give it a try

I cant believe this game.....I paid 30.00 for one of the best games of the year. I am a hidden and dangerous fan, and while waiting forever for Hidden and Dangerous 2 (due April '03) this gem dropped into my hands and I am only on the third level. I lived in the south pacific and the atmospherics in this game are unreal. Keep up the great work!
Who knew "foliage" could be so intense?

I figured I'd sit down for an hour and try it out, and three hours later I had finished the first level. After playing through the first few missions of this game, creeping around in the jungle (with leaves and trees that sway back and forth, and actually provide cover!) -- well, it really sucks you in. Keep the quicksave and quickload keys handy so you can recover from your own impatience. Love it!

I have played the demo, and despite a few little problems with multiplayer (N-Fusion is working hard to fix them) the game rocks. If anyone likes first person shooters, but want a little more, this is your game. It is not run and gun; you have to move slow and plan. Lots of fun!
IT WILL BE GOOD

I own the other Deadly Dozen game and I thought it was great. So I really think the new one is going to be twice as better. Now you get to fight the Japanese! This will be great!
