I love this and "Justice for All." I have already pre-ordered "Trials and Tribulations." coming out Sept 4. I am addicted to this game. I have never enjoyed any of my games this much. It is challenging and interesting. Highly recommended.

Waiting patiently for a third!

For anyone who has seen my Review for "Justice for All" You'll know that i somehow managed to play this one second and the 2nd one first. All the same it hadn't bothered me in any shape or form and i wound up loving the Phoenix Wright series all the same!

I think the Scientific Investigating was a nice touch in the last case and kinda hope to see more of that in the future. Anyway i stand by my review in "Justice for All"... This is a GOOD game and for those who don't m ind text games you will not be disappointed!

I'm pretty new to DS, so I picked up this game on a suggestion from others. I have to agree with one of the other reviewers who said - after the beginning trial you don't know if you'll like the game or not.
It did get better, and harder even. I played this literally all afternoon, and have to admit that I'm stuck for the 2nd time. There is a lot of reading to parts of the game, which was covered by one of the lengthy reviews here, but some of that text is giving you information that you need to use. So far - I really like this game!

Very dull

This game has a good concept, nice graphics, and some definitely funny moments, but the gameplay is a total bore.

There are two main gameplay styles: "investigation" and "trial". Investigation is the worst; it involves nothing more than checking everything in a room, talking to everyone, and a ton of pointless reading, much like an old point-and-click adventure on PC.

The court sections are a little better, but not much. Once again, it's very linear; you don't have to use your brain much, just try all the options. And once again, there is a huge amount of reading. There is way too much dialogue packed into the game, and not near enough actual gameplay. And most of the talking is aimless, too; very little of it actually advances the plot.

Overall, this game just tried way too hard to have good plot and characters, and left the player with little more to do than click on objects and scroll through text.

Am I missing something?

After reading all the glowing reviews for this game, I cannot believe how incredibly dull and tedious it was. I gave up in the middle of the third case. The only reason I got that far was that I assumed I was missing something, that surely it must get better. I did not find this game to be challenging at all, it's a matter of reading through page after page of text, clicking on everything in a room to get all the evidence, and presenting everything you've got in court. I see no comparison between this and games where you actually have to solve puzzles, like Myst or the Nancy Drew games.

OBJECTION!!!

This is one of my favorite games. You are Phoenix Wright, and Attorney that just came out of law school and youhave to defend 5 different people in court. You have to find clues, contradictions, and other stuff. It's a lot of fun.

Amazingly fun!

Warning: this game is ALL about the story. If you don't like having to scroll through pages of storyline, this game is NOT for you.

However, if an awesome story IS your thing, this game is the best! Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is about a rookie defense attorney (and all of his clients are innocent, conveniently) who takes on 5 different cases. What you have to do is pretty simple: find evidence and talk to witnesses and suspects, and then present your case and cross-examine witnesses in court. Episode 5 also has features that are not in the other episodes, like using the Touch Screen to examine evidence and use aluminum fingerprint powder.

Although that may seem a little boring, this game is so engrossing because of its great storyline and characters. It's the most addicting game I've played in a long time. I highly recommend it!

The Best Game I've Played on the DS

Sure, you're set in fictional 2016 America and the character you play has about as much knowledge of this country's fictional legal system as you do--but these are just setting points in a story that whisked my gameplaying days with other fighter and shooter games away.

Of the four DS game gifts I was given over the holidays, Phoenix Wright has taken the cake, eaten it whole, and solved more twisted criminal cases than I've watched on CSI or Law and Order. And the characters are lovably rich in personality with mysterious backgrounds and excellent dialogue. It's hard to believe that this is a translated game--all the lines fit perfectly. I highly recommend this game with an OBJECTION to whomever disagrees. And I didn't even get to talking about the microphone features!

Very good game purchase that will keep you on your toes as you make the witness's squeal. Lots of plot twist right when you thought you won the case.
