This lackluster effort from Rockstar is extremely disappointing. The game play is generic, the graphics reek of N64, and above all, this is absolutely nothing like surfing. Instead of concentrating on cutbacks and bottom turns, you spend all of your time collecting buoys in order to gain enough points to advance to the next level. I wish that every set brought the perfect wave and paddling into that wave was effortless. According to this game that is how easy it is. I bought this game in hopes for a somewhat realistic simulation, but I was sadly mistaken. Also, I unlocked all of the levels, surfers, and surfboards in about 4 hours. If any developers read this, please realize that there is a large market for a realistic surfing simulation.

I am a really big fan of SSX. When I saw H30 out in the store, I thought to myself "It must be like SSX but on water". WRONG! This game is terrible, the graphics are terrible, the controls are terrible, and the whole concept of the game is terrible. So after five minutes of playing, I was kicking myself for not reading any reviews of this game before I went out and [purchased it]. I really cannot believe who could create and release such a poor game to the public.

ok so heres my scope on this game it looks like it is going to rock this house this is going to be in my vote one of the best surffing games. I my self am a surfer and i think it is about damn time they came out with a good surf game the only downside to this game is the view can get all narly on yea man.

this is truley one of the worst games i have ever played. i'm in the ocean almost everyday and i was very excited to see this game come out. but its ohrrible. most of the time you just surf a wave (really just a blue slope) collecting floating orbes for points. .... this game is very very bad

All of the other reviews of this game say that this game absoulutely stinks. I think the game kicks .... This graphics are AWESOME, the characters are AWESOME, the waves are AWESOME, the tricks are AWESOME,and the tubes are AWESOME. Although the game took my friend Robert and I like about 3 days to beat the game is still awesome. Seriously do not listen to any of the other bad reviews of this game, because no one else knows exactly what their talking about. DO NOT LISTEN TO ANY OTHER REVIEWS THAT YOU READ ABOUT THIS GAME THAT ARE BAD, TRUST ME! If I ever get P.S.2, this game is 1st on my list, it should be like that for you too. ...

I own this game i bought it at the Circut City in Vestal NY i got it and i thought it was gonna rock and be one of the best games out there i had to choose between surfing h3o and ssx snowboarding i now regret getting surfing h30 on top of that i didnt even get the surfboard to put on your dualshock 2 analog controller.

This game is very appealing visually, but it needs a rework of the control interface. The only way I was able to make any progress - and even minimal progress at that - was to hold the controller wrong (sideways, with the dPad at the top and the X/O/Tri/Square buttons at the bottom).

I figured maybe I'm just not good at it...even though I'm usually pretty good at most games, at the very least after a lot of practice. So I let a few other people play - all different ages and levels of experience. Everyone agreed - stay away from this one!

Now, if they fix the controls in a new H3O...I'll rent it and give it another shot!

am i the only one who didn't get the little sufboard to put on your dualshock controller? And also does anybody know where i could buy the dang little thing, If so please write a review and tell me. thanks.
