Not as good as I thought....

It seems like this game has gotten good ratings so far, but I am not sure about it. I remember reading about this game before it was even released and couldn't wait to get it. But when I got it, I'll have to say that I was disappointed. It is not as fun as I thought it would be and your character dies too easily, so that gets frusterating. It seems like you can't go too far without starving or getting too tired first. I'll have to admit I have'nt gotten very far, yet, so maybe I will like the game more as I play. One thing I did really enjoy, though, was building the fire (blowing into the DS while rubbing a couple sticks.) The game gets a little harder when you pick up the girl because now you have to take care of two people. I'll give the game a couple more tries but I am thinking of selling it or trading it in already.

Interesting but a little difficult for kids

I bought this game for my 9 years old daughter. At first she loved this game since the adventure was similar to Harvest Moon in Gameboy Advance. But after she played for a while, it is getting more difficult and the main role died easily of hunger, tired etc. So if you don't save your game oftenly, be prepared to start all over again, which is become boring and tiring after quite some time.

But once you know your way and all the hidden secret (which is not easy for a 9 years old), it is quite a fun game. I think it is more suitable for older children.

Lost in Blue is great!

I just bought this game and it is very addicting and very fun. However, it takes some practice to master the game, and I'd recommend reading up on a walkthrough.

Anyway, Lost in Blue is a survival game in which you must eat, drink and sleep to stay alive. You are on a desert island with only one companion who is blind after your character breaks her glasses.

I would DEFINITELY recommend buying this game as it is well worth the price.

I'm Lost in Lost In Blue!!!

I bought this game, used, for my daughter and decided to pop it into my DS to take a look at it before I gave it to her. It's a good thing I didn't tell her that I had received it yet, because I can't stop playing! Wonderful use of the DS capabilities - like using the microphone to blow on your fire to get it going, and using the touch screen to search on the ground for food, spices, fishing bait, etc!

I had to buy a second one, because I know that I'll want to play again as Kyle, after I've beaten the game the first time, and my daughter won't have that much patience!

Also, I preordered LIB2, because I just KNOW that it's going to be every bit as enthralling and entertaining as the first one! Keep 'em coming, Konami!!!

I could not have made a better one myself it has rich gameplay and some of the worlds most lovely graphics in this game you play as a person trapped on an island and you must learn how to survive most definitly worth the money.

I have to say that I personally love this game and I haven't even had it for a whole day yet! I am quite partial to sim games and this one is so very interesting and interactive.

I am proud to say that I bought the last copy at my local game store for $30-- they are going for about $50 on eBay and are backordered most places. Get yours now!

The game unravels a little more each day as far as where you can go and what you will find. I just found the waterfall and made my spear to catch fish with-- must I say that fish keep your tummy much more satisfied than clams and seaweed! Having a full tummy means more time to explore ;)

I don't really watch my energy meter that often. I make sure I'm good on food and water and that seems to do me fine. After a day or two of exploring, I then sleep. If I want to exert myself and move a log or something-- then I do have to rest. Otherwise, resting uses too much energy.

I did peek at an online walkthrough... mainly just to point myself in the right direction withough ruining too many surpises. ;)

So.. that's how far I've gotten for now... needless to say it is still a little strange (but fun) to blow into my DS to start a virtual fire... lol.

I HIGHLY recommend this game and the DS system.

I am now looking forward to maybe getting Harvest Moon!

A wonderful game.

THis game is very addictive. It starts off slow, but as you get farthur into the game, It gets better and better. AND you can choose whether to stay on the island for a long time or quickly progress the story.

I am an middle aged woman that just got an NintendoDS for my birthday. So I had to go out and buy a game for it. I bought Lost In Blue. At first I kept dying every minute. I had to keep starting it over and over and over. Finally I am now on day 10 and it seems to be getting better. It seems though that you spend most your time trying to keep from starving to death. I dont see how to explore the island when you just walk out to the ocean and you are tired and starving. Still it is fun and my husband laughs at me when he sees me blowing into my Gameboy to get the fire going. I think it would be boring for young children to play.

NDS Lost in Blue: I get lost in it

Being a fan of boring repetitive task type games, I jumped when I heard about Lost in Blue. Months later, the game came out in English, I bought it, then months later I am writing this review.
-----
Graphics: 4 Stars
The graphics are fine for a NDS game, and the backgrounds and such look wonderful. However, they can be a little dark, and important things can be hard to see.
-----
Challenge Level: 5 stars
Lost in Blue keeps you on your toes, making simple tasks such as securing a stable food source a challenge. The learning curve is a little steep, as players who cannot catch on quickly will die quickly and many times.
-----
Adventure/Plot: 4 1/2 stars
There is plenty of time to explore the island, with loads of opportunities to discover new features in the game, along with building material. However, there is not much in the way of plot, as you could imagine in a game in which your purpose is to escape from an island.
-----
Overall Value: 5 stars
While not necessarily the game you want to get yoru child for Chirstmas or another Holiday, Lost in Blue has a great gameplay value, with tons of things to do.
