ENJOYABLE GAME

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 0 / 0

I purchased this game for my 12 year old granddaughter for Christmas.

This game was on her "wish list" and she was thrilled that I got it for her. She ran for her Nintendo DS and popped the game in and immediately began to play it.

She said she especially liked the grooming and care taking of the horse and the riding activities. She didn't care for the "interaction" of the other computer people, though.

I'd say this game is a good one to get because she didn't get "bored" with it and she played with it a lot over the holidays.

Great Game

This was yet another present for my daughter's birthday, and is a wonderful game for any child who loves animals. She considers this one of her favorite DS games, and would recommend it to all.

tough game

In this game, you have to go through a week of training, with 4 subjects a day. Theres 8 classes in total. Its tough to plan a schedule so that you can pass all your classes. not only is creating a good schedule hard, but the classes are harder. in order to do 1 of the classes, you have to read a lot, and that gets boring. The horse is hard to control, too. When you have to clean the horses stall, when i touch one corner, the oppsite side reacts, making it too difficult to do, and its not the ds--the same thing happend on a new ds. I am generally good at games and I still can't get past the first week because of its tough schedule. Also, i think its rediculous that you would fail a class because you couldn't find some girls book and a sandwich for some janitor. That shoulden't make you fail school over all. You have to get perfect in ALL of your classes just to get to the compitition. The game is so hard I haven't been able to finish the first week. This game should have been much better planned out, and i hope the second one dosen't have the same flaws that the first one did.

A good challenge

First of all I want to say that this game is not for a small child. It is fairly difficult to understand and requires good reflexes. I liked it for about the first and second weeks I played it, but after that, it got quite frustating and boring.

Pros:
-Good graphics
-Nice challenge
-Not just grooming, you actually ride and steer your horse
-Wide selection of breeds and foals to choose from
-You get to train cute little foals

Cons:
-Very difficult to walk to doors as a human
-No tutorial, just alot of reading
-Very repeatitive after the second week
-Frusturating when you just barely pass the week but you have to start over again, it even erases your foals
-The things you have to do, such as: training, jumping, and grooming are always the same and they get boring
-I, personally, had trouble with the amount of time they give you to read books

Horsez is a wonderful game for anyone who loves horses. You need to train, and care for a stable horse. While your caring for the stable horse, you can compete and win competitions with it so you can earn money to buy horse equipment, get show clothes for yourself, or even buy your own foal! If you care for the foal corectly, it will grow up and you'll have yourself a great horse.

okay game

I think this game is okay. It is sort of fun, but can get a little boring. At first, the game was confusing and hard to control. But, I got the hang of it. Overall, this is an okay game. You should buy it if you like to take care of horses.

Its good in little amounts.

The game runs in weeks. And each week you have to do a certian amount of things, like jumping, or talking to people to become more popular. If you don't do all these things, which can be hard, then you fail nad you have to redo the week. So everything you did is erased.

The game seems to drag on and you seem to be in one spot for a long time. It seems that you are always on a goose chace. If you are trying to get somthing done, like get a book for someone, then you have to get a sandwich for someone else. And in order to get the sandwich, you have to help someone. Its enyong.

But the game if fun...ish. I think its ok.

Good for the younger crowd

For younger kids, this game is probably fun. It's linear, simplistic, and basic. I found the dressage controls annoying, as my DS did not seem to understand that an X is an X and an O is an O half the time. Moving the character around was irritating as well. She is slow, so it takes forever to walk back and forth between rooms, doing tasks for your friends.
