Difficult, but entertaining

I found this game earlier than it was supposed to be released, but it's a fun game if you are into military/action style gaming. For it's price, you can't lose. I thought that it wouldn't be a very good game, but I underestimated it. Great quality for it's price. I only have one complaint, it's very difficult and frustrating. So if you want a fun game that won't empty your wallet, this is it.

I love military games and im a fan of the Spec Ops series on the PC. I picked it up and looked at it, then I turned it to the front and saw the price. ... I figured it would suck so I picked it up and played it. That game just took me to school. I figured it would be a 007 game and you would be able to kill an army with a man, boy I was wrong I walked up to a guard and bam! I was dead. So this game is hard and if you like the series it's definately worth grabbing.

WHEN IBOUGHT IT I WAS GOINGG INSANE BECAUSE I COULDN'T FINSH SOME OF THE LEVELS. BUT WHEN I KEPT ON PLAYING IT. I WAS REALLY GETTING GOOD I HAVE 1 BONNZE STAR AND 3 MEDALS OF HONOR..IT'S GETTING EASY EVERY TIME I PLAY IT. BUT STILL IT'S HARD.AND CAN STILL DRIVE YOU NUTS. IF YOU DON'T TAKE A BRAKE OR TWO. I AM A HUGE FAN OF CLANDESTINE OP TYPE GAMES (METAL GEAR SOLID, SYPHON FILTER 1&2, CHASE THE EXPRESS [OR COVERT OPS: NUCLEAR DAWN IN THE STATES]ALSO A GOOD BUY) AND THIS ONE MADE ME DOUBTFUL ESPECIALLY DUE TO THE LOW PRICE. I WAS THINKING THAT THIS WAS ANOTHER RAINBOW SIX CLONE,YOU KNOW GOOD ON PAPER BUT BUT TERRIBLE ON THE PLAYSTATION. BUT, WHEN YOU SWITCH TO THE 3RD PERSON MODE AND START TO SCOUT THE TERRAIN WITH NVG'S AND SWITCH 1ST PERSON VIEW TO SNIPE ENEMIES WITH THE SILENCED MP5, BELIEVE ME COMING FROM A SERVICE MEMBER THAT'S BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT ITS VERY CLOSE TO THE REAL THING. THE FEEL, JUST YOU AND YOUR BUDDY, MANY KLICKS BEHIND THE LINES, YOU MAKE THE CALL! CAN YOU HACK IT? SPEND THE CASH AND FIND OUT!

Oh for the love of god, dont be cheap, go buy Medal ofHonor..heck, you can get Metal Gear Solid for cheap now!

I'mashamed to of ever put this in my Playstation..the graphics are poor..the gameplay's slow and lacks the action the game promises..the music sounds like a MIDI..The fact the game's cheap dosent have anything to do with the quality, all playstation games are going to end up like this shortly, the programmers just took a very, very...very wrong turn somewhere with this one. Somehow I doubt the Dreamcast version will be any better.

This game sucks, period end of statement.

This is one of the worst five games for Playstation of alltime! Do not buy it! I bought it and ended up bringing it back,telling them it was so terrible, and they new what I was talking about! If you are considering buying this game, DON'T! Even though it is cheap, it is still not worth it! Go buy something a little more fun, like colored rocks.

O.K., here's the thing. I look over and I see this game. I see the price and I think, "It might suck, but for the money, it's worth the gamble." I get home, play the thing and realize that I have made a wise investment. The style of play is similar to that of Syphon Filter and Metal Gear Solid, but the overall game experience is like no other. This one makes you use your head a little. You can't just bust in John Wayne style and open the can of whoop-ass. No, you gotta be pretty sneaky. You gotta see the enemy before he sees you. Great game, great price! And that's the bottom line!

This game kicks some serious butt!

I bought this game last week and thought that it would either suck or or be decent, there was no way in hell I would have thought that this game would be so great! I love the sniper rifles and it's just so great that you have so many guns and weapons to choose from. But be warned it is a HARD game, I mean the krauts in this game are smart! But also the enviornments in this game are so cool I definitley recommend this game as well as Medal of Honor

OK. So this game is not as good as Metal Gear Solid, or as realistic as Rainbow Six (PC version), it still has a lot of bang for the buck. The idea of a two-man hit and run operation appeals to many, and this game does it fairly well. Graphics are all right, but they are good enough to get the job done. Sound and music is fair as well, but the voices are a bit cheesy. Now, my gripes. Choices in firepower are great, but all of the weapons have the same performance levels. Believe me, in real life, a Barrett .50 sniper rifle has MORE knockdown than a suppressed 9mm HK MP5SD. Grenades are hard to aim, and the controls are tricky to master. The game's difficulty is another factor, and it is hard to see a difference in the three difficulty levels. All in all however, it is a fun game, and the ability to command two Rangers using cooperative cover/maneuver light infantry tactics is this game's strongest point. Anyway, if you want a fun, (VERY)challenging and moderately realistic game..., try it out.

OK. Although this game is not as good as Metal Gear Solid, or as realistic as Rainbow Six(PC version), it still packs some bang for the buck. The graphics are not the worst(that honor goes to Dark Forces). The sound is OK, but nothing to write mom about. The control is tricky at first, but when mastered, you'll be shootin' and movin' like a pro. Now my gripes. Even though you have a great selection when it comes to guns and gear, all of the weapons perform pretty much the same. Believe me, a .50 Barrett sniper rifle has more range and knockdown power than a scoped M4 carbine! In the Vietnam level, you can choose the same weapons and equipment that you can in "modern day" levels. I'm POSITIVE we did not have AN-PVS5 night vision goggles and HK MP5SD sub-guns in Vietnam. And lastly, difficulty. This is a HARD game. So much so, it is impossible to tell a difference between the three levels of challenge. But all-in-all, the ability to command two Army Rangers in hit and run raids using light infantry/special operations tactics is this game's strongest point. So, if you want a fun and challenging game, and don't want to blow alot of money, check this one out.
