While a glance at the title and cover may lead you to believe that FTM is in the same league with the insipid DS title "Sprung", this is not the case at all. In fact, this game is in the top tier of DS titles.
The presentation is great. The unique graphical style and comic-panel cutscenes, combined with the groovy music, really help to immerse the player in gameplay. The story is something that must be experienced for anyone who is into Japanese quirk. Among its best moments are a high-speed unicycle chase over shark infested waters, a carnivorous three-headed plant, and an epic "battle of mohawks".
Each of these scenarios (plus many, many more) are playable through fun gameplay that uses all of the DS' unique capabilities. Every scene has you doing something different, and there are also boss battles that will have you frantically blowing, rubbing, and glancing back and forth between the two screens. The overall difficulty is quite challenging, but never unfair.
Finally, the game's replay value is bolstered by a wide variety of unlockables. By beating your high scores and finding hidden bunnies in the cutscenes, you will earn new outfits, hairstyles, and shoes with which to dress up the protaganist's dream girl. You can even get super-secret items by putting other Sega games in the GBA slot (I got a Sonic hairdo!).
Feel the Magic may be a launch title, but if you didn't play it then, pick it up now. The exciting gameplay and strangely compelling story will keep you glued to the screen.

It wasn't until I kept hearing about how fun this game is that I finally bought it. While it is as fun as most people claim, it's a bit on the short side; I beat the game in a couple hours. Of course, that isn't all there is to it. There are unlockables and the minigames do have replay value. But my main complaints are that there aren't ENOUGH unlockables/modes to keep me entertained for a reasonable amount of time. Plus, they weren't all that great. I found myself putting this game back in the box after about a week or two.
As for the gameplay, it makes excellent use of the DS' touch screen and microphone capabilities (which is kind of the purpose of this game). You rub, touch, poke, blow, etc. The minigames are great fun. The music is also cool, yet different. The difficulty factor in this game is quite reasonable, though it can get frustrating sometimes. Of course, you can unlock harder difficulties.
Overall, this game is quite good, except for its short length. Some people might find it has a lot of replay value, but it was only minimal for me. Whether or not it's worth the money is up to you.

The bad part is when someone asks u why u are rubbing a video console while the sound of a man puking is coming out. Buy the game i mean uve got to explore every part of the ds and i mean e v e r y s i n g l e p a r t.

I heard all the hype on this game from several different game stores and other sources so i thought id buy it and try it out. Bad Choice. This has got to be the dumbest game ever released. It is highly over rated and very short. After about 10 minutes of playing it I was ready to break out an atari and play pong. Thats about how much fun it is. I wont be surprised to find it in a clearance section of wal mart very soon.
Very Unique Game, but I didn't like it

Okay, so your a guy with no face and your walking down the street and run into a faceless women who you think is hot. Just then some weird dude in a rabbit suit runs into you and swallows some gold fish, what do you do?
This is the start of the weirdest game I have ever played. You basically then join the weird people who turn out to be the band known as the 'Rub Rabbits.' From then on, its your job to impress the women you love. Things you do go from parachuting out of an airplane and trying to climb out of quicksand from an antlion. Basically put, its a season of 'Jackass' on tv with a band instead of ordinary people.
However, after a while the girl does fall for you so you have to do things for her like hold her hand for 15 minutes. Okay if I wanted to hold a girl's hand for 15 minutes, I would rather do it in real life, not have a simulator. That's where most of the problems are, you are doing really stupid things that utilize the touch screen in many ways. However, there are bettter ways to do this.
I guess the thing that bothers me the most is the fact that you must play five levels of whatever your task is more than once (excluding the love scenes).
This game simulates the problems in real life with women. Some of them just don't want to be with you so you do crazy things like the main character of this game. What I don't get is why she is so disappointed that I didn't make it the other side of the roof on a unicycle. I'm surprised she isn't happy, I mean I almost died trying to impress her, but no, that isn't good enough for her. Sure getting the one you love to notice you is hard, but if I were the main character in this game, I'd just say "forget it, I'm finding some other person who cares about my health, and who can clean herself." Seriously, this main character guy needs to find other people, one who isn't impressed by stupid stunts such as those seen in this game.
This game might be good for some people, but I hated it. I suggest WarioWare: Touched for those of you who liked the idea, but wanted more.
Pros
- Lonely men have somebody to date
- Utilization of the touch screen is great
Cons
- Your crush in this game doesn't care about your health, just about your cool stunts
- It shows you the truth in finding a woman can be hard, but not as hard as they make it in this game
- You have to play the minigames 5 times before completing it
- People have lost their faces (I don't like that art design).
- You have to do stupid love stuff that is not fun in a video game but is easy to do in real life
- The storyline is crappy
- The band's name is the 'Rub Rabbits'
- You have to find little rabbits to unlock customes, which is lame

This is what the NintendoDS is all about. Wierd, quirky japanese titles. This is a SEGA game and it shows. It reminds me of something that would have been on dreamcast. Basically in this game you must win a girls love by pulling off these crazy stunts. The game only uses the stylus and has a bunch of levels (like 20 or 30). The levels are all different mini-games that range from swallowing goldfish, to spray-painting hearts on a wall, to 3d driving, to blowing out candles (and you actually have to blow on the screen!). You can beat the game quick, but there are still a bunch of mini-games to play after. The music is fun and catchy and the graphics are all stylized in a modern way. One of the most original games to be released ever. Definately one of the best DS titles so far. If you have a DS and like anime you'd probably like this game.
Not worth it!!!

I loved playing Feel the Magic when I got it and love the look to it. So lets see, colorfull, neat, exciting, creative and most of all...frusterating! As I played on, the game got more and more difficult into levels that surpass anything worthwhile. I mean, this game takes hours to beat a single, 5 minute game. dont waste your time like i did, just chill out and wait for the good title...'till then...owning mario 64 as ur only game is better than blowing 30 bucks on this. but i still like it...i just can't stant it! lol.

I got this game for Christmas and beat it two days after. This game is amazing. I also got 3 other DS games for Christmas, but I didn't even open them til I finished Feel the Magic. This game is so unique and awesome. When my friends ask me what it's about, I can't even explain it. I recommend this to anyone really. I'm trying to beat it on hard mode right now, but it's really hard. Get this game now!
