The return of the Blue Bomber (Or Rock and Roll)

After so many of those repetitive side scrolling Mega Man Shooters Capcom proves that their first signature character is capable of not only getting a second wind, but blowing the socks off of the competition! Though a little short by PSX standards, Rock Man Dash as it is known in Japan is a blast to play with some of the best 3D shooter control in existance combined with really involving Role Playing elements. Capcom labored intensively to take care of every detail in this game, right down to the way you can actually listen to music in the CD store! Wow!

Good, but not really a Mega Man game

In recent years, Capcom attempted to bring their classic Mega Man franchise into the new millennium. They gave the series a complete makeover, in a number of ways, and thus, the Legends series was born. How does this, the first game in the Legends series, measure up? Read on and see.

PROS:
-IT'S A FULL 3D GAME. Many fans of the Mega Man series had long been awaiting such a game, and at long last they have one. Well, sort of.
-THERE ARE TONS OF WEAPONS AND ITEMS FOR YOU TO FIND AND USE. The island where the game takes place is filled with ruins which it will take a good deal of time to explore in their entirety.
-THE STORYLINE IS BETTER THAN SOME PEOPLE MAKE IT OUT TO BE. This is NOT really a Mega Man game, but the storyline the game has is an interesting one nonetheless.

CONS:
-THE BIGGEST CON IS THE MOST OBVIOUS ONE - IT ISN'T REALLY A MEGA MAN GAME! Capcom just used a Mega Man look for many of the characters so that they could sell more games. For shame, Capcom.
-THE GRAPHICS ARE HORRIBLE, EVEN FOR A FULL 3D PLAYSTATION ONE GAME. The characters look like they were made out of paper, and I don't mean that in a good way. The 2D Mega Man games on the Playstation had graphics way better than these.
-THE CONTROLS SUCK. If you want to turn, you have to rotate the camera. This becomes extremely annoying in no time at all. There are also several other control faults.
-THE GAME LEAVES TOO MANY QUESTIONS UNANSWERED. If the series really IS somehow connected to the other Mega Man game series, the game fails to tell you how. Likewise, your character's origin is never explained.

OVERALL:
Overall this is a good game, but it wasn't really what I was hoping for. That's not to say you won't have any fun with it - I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. If you find this game in the budget bin, pick it up. It may surprise you.

Legends is loads of fun

Mega Man Legends is a great new series for mega man. The story takes him to an island searching for energy crystals on his dig adventures. Game play is fun and easy to learn. The game has plenty of secret goodies for you too discovery adding hours of replay value. easy and fun to play but not easy enough that you'll only spend oh...one week or so one it. Loads of fun a most have for hardcore mega man and new mega man fans of all ages!!!

The game is okay at the beginning, but as it progressess it gets more and more boring and you get lost in the ruins. The bosses are kind of cheesy themselves. Plus the graffics aren't that great. But then again its just my opinion.

i dont think this game is great its okay for a regular game but it doesnt meet the expectations you would think mega man deserved. The graphics arent amazing but okay as far as the 3d goes but the textures are terible. The game play isnt that bad its just not worth the money. This game is almost as good as the regular megaman series but its not as good as the mega man x series. this game is good for ages 7 - 12 but if your a teenager or adult get one of the mega man x games.

If you're a die-hard fan of the megaman games...well...then you probably already own this one. You would probably say that this is a mighty-fine game too. Legends is an entirely new story line but has plenty of refferences to the old games to keep fans satisfied. If you've never played it, I highly recamend you pick up a copy.

this game rocked it had action and good gameplay.you get to explore the town and when you think you are done thw throw another boss or mission at you.it is a learn as you go kind of game. I wish the game was longer because it was so fun it is a must get.

I think that Megaman Legends is a really good game. The gameplay is good and so is the battling. Also exploring the dungeons is pretty good because you could use the cash you make to uprgrade your weapons. The problems were that the game is way too short. And the reaverbots aren't a challenge anymore when you get more upgrades. They become much too easy to kill. But overall this game is really good and I would recomend this game to people who have just finished a hard game like Final Fantasy 8.
