Surpisingly Good First Person Shooter For the DS

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 13 / 13

If you're a fan of LEGO Bionicle and great games for the DS, you'll love this one. The storyline of the game is this: The Paraka have stolen the Toa's masks and it's up to you to retrieve them. There's 37 fairly big levels for you to play through, and 7 different weapons for you to use on your quest. The graphics look great for the DS, and the angular look of LEGO Bionicle characters transfer on to the DS really well. It includes enemies from all "eras" of the Bionicle timeline, and as a LEGO fan, I personally had a lot of fun seeing the Bionicle figures that I have the LEGO sets for come to life on the screen. The enemy AI is surprisingly complex for a DS FPS,they'll dodge your attacks, hide behind walls, and they'll come at you almost non-stop. But thankfully you can hide behind a wall and your ammo and health will be recharged automatically. The controls are pretty easy to learn right off the bat, and there's plenty of unlockables, so you'll want to re-play all of the levels once you obtain all of the Toa's powers. If you're looking for a well-made FPS, and you're a fan of LEGOs, I highly recommend you give this one a try.

My son finished with the game in just four days so it did not serve it's purpose to keep him occupied after his chores on the weekends. Better off getting a brainic game or something along those lines.....

Cool Game!

What a cool game! Instead of moving a tiny character on the screen the view is from your character's point of view. You can look around, up and down. Also there is a radar on the bottom screen that detects the bad guys before you even see them. There's lots of really creepy enemies like giant spiders and scorpions along with the big bad metal dudes just waiting for you to find them. Lots of exploring and cool graphics and the thing that I liked most of all is that is wasn't hard to get through the levels for a novice like me. Enjoy!!!
