Beware - not the same game as the newer Dogz

I purchased this game for my daugter for Christmas. It ended up being a big dissapointment. Why? I purchased "Dogz" for her sister. Both are packaged identically and appear to be the same game - except one has a pet dog and the other a pet cat. In truth, Catz is nowhere near the game that Dogz is. I can't beleive that this game is priced the same as Dogz - they are extremely different.

Gameplay in Catz in comparatively boring and not engaging as Dogz. In Catz, you watch your cat and interact with it on screen. In Dogz, you are a little child (you pick a boy or girl) that moves around a rich environment and interacts with a family, etc while taking care of a dog - tons more to do!

If you alread have Dogz and are considering Catz, don't bother. If you are choosing between Dogz and Catz - well - you know which one to choose.

Like Nintendo Dogs Better

THe game play is slow. All you do is clean The litterbox. Help neighbors with their pets . Encludes taking pictures, playing with cats. I was disapointed. Don't waste your money.

I puchased Dogz for my son and I enjoy playing the game. But I love cats, so I fiqure I would purchase the Catz game, which was a no no.
Very boring, waste of time. Please don't waste your money, I think I only played Catz twice and put it on the shelf and haven't played it since.

This game is pretty fun but can get boring. You get a cat, take it home. You can buy it food, clothing and toys. You get messages from other people asking you to do random chores and they will pay you for it. The cat also respons to you if you call it by the name you gave it or if you simply call "kitty" she/he will come. It is also cute how the kitty's purr, meow and the way they play with the toys. But beware, they won't like all toys, just some. I have gotten much into the game but that's all I have done so far. You can also take pictures of your cat and send it to a magazine, I believe, and also, you can change the way your home looks by buying new furnisher and wall paper. I haven't done this yet because I haven't gotten enough money for it yet. I hope you enjoy this game. :]]

This game is mostly a 4 star game but I love cats so I gave it 5 stars.

I love this game. I don't understand why other people don't like it. It's a great way to take care of a cat if you don't have one. The graphics are really nice and the sound is okay. You can pet your cat, clean it's litter tray,take pictures of it and then submit it to a magazine weekly. You get paid to do jobs or get kitty cards which tell you intersting facts about cats. You can use the money to buy furniture or acesories or toys. Overall, it is such a cute game. I highly reccomend it for kitty lovers.

Catz is a fun game. First you get to go to the adoption center to get a cat. You can choose from about 5 or 6 cats. Then you take it home and play with it. Unlike Dogz, you don't have a character.

Kitty Coinz are money that you spend on cat food, cat toys, cat outfits,and furniture. You can earn money by helping out your neighbors,Brandon and Haley. You will take care of their cat and take photos of their cat doing certain things. Also, your Aunt Rose gives you weekly allowances.

You also have a tool bar at the top of the touch screen. It consists of PDA, chest, info screen, kitten status, and game options. On the PDA screen, you can check email ( only when the phone rings ) shop for toys, food, furniture, and cat outfits. There is also the photo option on your PDA to take pictures of your cat. You are allowed to take 10 pictures. To get more film, you have to delete old pictures. On the chest screen, you can play with toys, feed your kitty, and dress up your kitty. On the info screen, you can view kitty cardz (info cards that you neighbors give you), magazine covers that you won, and a icon to change around your furniture. Also, if you have a job waiting for you, you go to the info screen to go to the job. On the kitty stats, you can find out if your kitty is hungry, tired, needs to be groomed, or needs to be loved on. In the game options, you can save your game, go to the main screen, play music, go to the credits, and the help button.

To pet your kitty, press Y and rub the stylus up and down on the screen.

I hope if you get this game, you'll enjoy it just as much as I do!

This was a good intro game for my daughter, but after playing with this myself - we will grow bored soon.

This game was a BIG dissapointment! My sister got this game for Christmas and she hasnt played it since the day after Christmas. Its very boring all you do is watch your cat and feed it. Sometimes you get jobs but not that often. While youre waiting to get a job all you do is watch your cat walk around. You can dress your cat but thats not fun because 10 seconds later it goes off. I dont like this game and i DONT recommend it to any one!

The Kids say the game is one their favorites. It's like Nintendogs. Virtual electronic pet/s game.Earn rewards for taking care of pets & then you can buy toys for the cats or get more cats.3 Cats per name.A lot of fun for kids & keeps them busy for hours:)

It is so boring! Your cat just sits around all day long and you can hardly interact with it! Wow, the box looks great, but don't be fooled! The graphics are almost 2D, unlike the box shows! Even if you love cats and don't like dogs in the least bit, Nintendogs is the way to go with taking care of pets!
