this is a nice game! I think Gex 64 may be a little better than this but hey buy this game. This is a good game. I just can't belive EIEDOS made this game. They usaully make too weird games.
Fun at first, but loses its appeal quite quickly.

In this game, you take on the role of Gex, a wise-cracking gecko who is also a 007-style secret agent who is SUPPOSED to be rescuing a spygirl named Agent Xtra from the clutches of his arch-nemesis Rez, the "Madman of the Media." Instead, you'll find yourself scouring eleven theme-specific stages (each with its own complimentary bonus game) and four secret stages in search of Fly Coins (the equivalent to rings in all those games starring Sonic the Hedgehog), Paw Tokens (25 for an additional hit point), Bonus Coins (essential for playing bonus games), and Remote Controls (You can't make any progress in the game without these.).
This may not seem so bad at first---especially with an interesting array of stage-specific characters set on either helping you or hindering the progress of your costumed reptilian crusader---but soon enough, things will become increasingly frustrating with each additional level you enter. You'll also find yourself so sick of platform-hopping, tail-swinging, wall-climbing, and item-searching that you'll be dying to play something else after half an hour or so. The game's plot leaves much to be desired as well, as players never really garner anything CLOSE to an intimate perception of the arch-villain Rez other than the fact that they must defeat him to win the game. The dialogue between Gex (voice-over by commedian Dana Gould) and Xtra (played by Marliece Andrada from BAYWATCH, who displays more cleavage than true acting talent) doesn't help, either, as it mainly involves our "hero" making crude come-ons to the blonde bombshell of a spy (hence this game's rating of "T" for "Teen"). If these weren't irritating enough, you must also learn to cope with a slew of wisecracks and impersonations that Gex utters from time to time, which---while amusing for the first few minutes of play---eventually become irritating to the point where you'll be reaching for the mute button on your own remote.
Better stick with Spyro the Dragon, folks, because while this game aims to please, it just doesn't hit the mark.
had potential.... WAY TOO irritating, boring and ...

repetitive! Some bad reviews make you wonder if the person bothered to learn the game enough to enjoy it... or if they know how to play these games... Well I have played Gex for several unfortunate hours.... I've completed many more challenging games, and this is the WORST (also the only game I never bothered to finish)
Crash Bandicoot... ape Escape, Oddworld series are all challenging excellent games... save your money on Gex to buy them!
big dissapointment

This is defenitly the worst game that I have ever owned! From the overused lines during gameplay to the boring overall game's story. There were lines (as in quotes) during the gameplay that made it so annoying that I turned off the sound. You had to repetedly play the levels to get all objectives done, way to hard. The moves that you must use to complete things are too complicated and could be made much easier. I promptly traded it in after about 2 weeks of failed attempts to beat the second level. Very fruserating, don't bother.

Privet Gex,Gex capone, Count dracugex, and more! There are up to 25 NEW disquises. You can play some secret charactors, ride a donky and alagator, and if you by this, be shur to listen for over 1,000 wise-cracks!I recomend this to anyone who is mature, likes action and adventure, likes to laugh, and anyone who thinks that gex is cute...WARNING! you WILL have fun!
Please be shur that you or whoever you might be buying it for is mature enough to handle words like the 'D' word and some nasty sounds. Dont wory about seeing any un nesasary body parts, and expect nasty sounds when you compleat the game. Thank you for taking the time to read this! GIRLS RULE!
This game is really fun, but there is adult language in it.

The last time we saw Gex which was in the game called Gex: Enter the gecko he saved t.v. from a robot named Rez. Kinda wierd huh? Well in this game a woman named Agent Xtra was captured by Rez. When Gex was at home thinking about his last successes he decided to watch the news. When he was in the middle of watching the news he saw that Agent Xtra was captured by Rez. So Gex decided to go and save Agent Xtra. So he goes to the Gex caves and starts his new adventure.
What you gotta do is you have to go to new t.v. levels and collect as many t.v. remotes as you can. Remember, the more remotes you collect the closer you will get to Rez. In this game Gex wears all sorts of different costumes like Hercugex, Supergex, Privategex, Dracugex, Little Red Riding Gex, and Sherlockgex. There is a whole lot more, but I cannot name them all. Gex also has rides too like Al Nino the donkey which can help Gex go up hills that are too slippery for Gex to climb and Humps the camel which can help Gex cross sinky sand and there are a few others. There are secret characters that you can play in the bonus rounds, but you have to find them first before you can play them. There is Rex which is Gex's prehistoric ancestor and Cuz which is Gex's cousin.
This game is really fun to play and not only that, the graphics are very nice and colorful. The colors in this game are much brighter than the other Gex games which makes this game even better and more fun to play, but the camera is a bit slow, but that is ok. You will get used to it after a while. The bad thing about this game is that there is adult language in it. It says bad words like d--- and s---. While you are playing this game you will hear really, really, really funny one-liners from Gex, but some of them have bad words in the one-liners or shall we say quotes. Believe me do not let kids under the age of 10 to play this game. That was the reason why I gave this game a four star instead of a five star. But hey, this game is okay for the whole family anyway, if you have a child that is younger than the age of ten and you don't want your child to hear the bad words than you are lucky, because there is a way to turn off the voice of Gex that way Gex won't even speak at all. You can turn the Voice from Gex off by going to the pause menu.
Well that is all I have to say about Gex3: Deep cover Gecko. If you ever buy this game I hope you will like it as much as I did. Thanks for taking your time to read my review. ( - -,) ( ^ ^,) :)
The game isn't all that bad!

I've seen bad reviews with this game, but why? These people just can't handle Gex. It has 1000 hilarious quotes made by Gex, but a warning, this game DOES have some adult humor within it. Even though the plot could use some work, it has good graphics and out-of-this-world levels. Find out if you can handle Gex 3 by renting it first.
LOVE IT!

After reading the negative reviews of this game, I had to write one to defend it. I bought this game, (among others) right before a big snowstorm. Luckily, I played this one first, because the others never made it out of the packaging! It's true that it can get a little annoying listening to the comments made by Gex as you play, but that CAN be turned off. Also, a note to parents!--Some of the comments Gex makes are a little "adult in nature." Anyway, I love the game and my boyfriend and I race home from work so we can be the first to play it. There are many different levels, and lots of funny things to do, like ride a kangaroo or an alligator to collect things, and change into "DracuGex" or a Superhero version of Gex and fly around to hard to reach areas. Give the game a chance...once you get the hang of it, hopefully you'll have as much fun as we do!
