Doom is one the classics on the PC. It was one of the first blood&guts shooter. But with all the new shooters out there today like Bllod 1&2, Duke Nukem and Half-Life it really doesn't stand a chance. But since the playstation has such few shooteers, you might want to pick it up, if your not sure rent it first.
Grand Daddy of Shoot em ups.

This is a one player, 1st person shooter. The goal is to finish each level by finding keys, weapons and health kits all the while killing as many commies that look like monsters as possible, and trust me there are lots of commies. There are hidden secrets throughout the game and any number of sites on the net to tell you where those secrets are. The villians get smarter and tougher as you progress through the game, the 1st opponents are just some slow moving, shotgun toting targets, later levels have half ram-half man beasts that are almost invincible shooting rockets at you! Good thing you can get a double barrel shotgun, a minigun anti aircraft type weapon, brass knuckles, a rocket launcher, a plasma gun, a pistol and even a chainsaw for those up and close encounters. Ever wonder what it would be like to walk into a building and just start shooting everyone in sight? If so there are two things you need 1) Profesional help 2) This game. Good deal at this price.

Well, I the PC verison of Doom and the other 2 are the best, but the Play Station version is a little below the PC verison. But it is a good game to work with, the graphics are good, the controls are easy to get used to. Lot's of good levels in the game, when I got this one, i just had to get the other one, I recomend that to you to.
Ignore the rest: Doom is the best !

The original seek and destroy game that cost gamers thousands of hours of their life. Buy it. Live it. Learn . You get nowhere just blasting away. Like an anger management class: Doom teaches you to respect your murderous side; your own lifeis on the line if you mess up. No full 3D, up and down full enviroment controls here.... Oh no, just grab guns and blow away the bad guys. Pure. A pleasure to play. The soundtrack composers get much praise for the creepy/atmospheric score. DOOM is very much a MOOD GAME.
This is where all this first person shooter stuph got started. And I believe it holds up its end of the deal; pure mayhem and destruction for those of us who need it. Enjoy the DOOM imitators, but remember this one's the BOMB!
A mood game

Doom isn't a game with revolutionary graphics or sound effects. It doesn't try to be.It is, quite simply, a mood game.If you get really peeved off at something then just pop in one of the ol' Doom games (although the first will always be my fav)and kick some demonic bootay! Just think about it, the demons resemble people we all loathe. Mancubus is the big fat ugly smelly retarded school bully we all love to hate! Cyber Demon and Spider Mastermind are the school principal . The Baron of Hell is your stupid brother with his strange pants and retro boots and his goofy haircut . He's the brother who got sunburnt trying to tan. :) So next time you get mad , don't hit a punching bag, pop Doom into your playstation and fry some demons!P.S. It is a classic and you can't dis a classic! :)
CLASSIC GAMING FUN!

One of the greatest shooting games ever. You play as a stranded space marine on the moons of Mars Phobos and Demios. Creatures from hell spawn from broken military portals on the moons. You must kill all the creatures on both moons then you go to the underworld {hell} and make sure no monster gets to earth alive. You WILL have to get out of there when your finished{of course}. You will find out more when play it cause words just cant describe all of it.
A seriously macabre game!

The game "Doom" has reserved itself a place in history as being one of the most popular games of all time, and why shouldn't it be? It has everything in it you could possibly want: lots of bloody violence and gore, ammo that would put Hussein's arsenal to shame, and a setting and characters that are surreal, disturbing, and altogether engrossing. There is no mystifying puzzle to discover, only lots of bloodshed to be had, and the game allows multiple levels of difficulty so you can have as little or as many villains as you want coming your way. The levels of play graduate from simple to hard, and finding your way out of some of these mazes is almost a puzzle in itself. If you like tearing things up, then this is the game for you!
Lots of Action

Nice! doom 1 and 2 in one CD. That was a very creative idea, you get over 50 levels from ultimate doom and doom 2. Many of you maybe wondering if the levels look the same as the PC. Yes they do! they look exactly the same as the pc. the only difference is the enemies for example you will see monsters that are not in the pc ultimate doom in the PSX version monsters such as the chaingunner soldier, mancubus, arancnoton, revenant, pain elemental and hell knight. In ultimate doom for pc those monsters are not there, they are only in doom 2 for pc. but the Psx version of ultimate doom you will see those monsters when you put the game on Hurt me plenty or Ultra violence. the only complaint is that i think the archville is missing from both games, and i haven't seen the spider mastermind. i think you may find him in Threshold of pain( last level in ultimate doom). another thing is the pc music for the levels are taken out, instead they put slow scary music for the levels. This is a must buy for any doom fan i bought my copy recently!
Should be TEEN!!!
