this game is boring. if you want a good game dont get a simulator, especialy a life simulator, if your "mood bar" gets really low you cant get the people happy again unless you move wich makes no sense, i think if your depressed and you move you will be more depressed, when you move you have to buy all new stuff. THis game suck and it is very boring
Awesome deal

If you ever considered getting the Sims. This is the set to buy. Back when my sisters and I started playing it was around $40 dollars for the original game and then $20-$30 for each expansion (and we got them all up to Unleashed). The only reason I didn't rate it higher is because with the Sims 2 coming out it will quickly be obsolete but if your computer can't handle the Sims 2, I would still recommend this.
Entertaining but becomes boring and/or frustrating quickly

The Sims - more of the same with each expansion pack: Pick an individual or a group of individuals, move them into a house, get them some very basic furniture, send them to work, buy more furniture, try to keep them entertained, make them study cooking and/or other subjects, make sure they make friends with their neighbors so that they get promoted and earn more money so that can improve their house... and so on, and so on.
I admit that I have never managed to make my Sims happy without using cheat codes. They don't start with enough money ("Simoleons") to buy quality furniture, which means they don't get enough rest, entertainment, nourishment, etc. That leaves them depressed and tired, which in turn keeps them from studying and/or exercising, which means that they don't get promoted and don't earn enough money to buy better furniture.
Then there is the issue of friends: your Sims need friends in order to be happy and also to get promoted. Once your Sim has made friends with someone, the relationship needs nurturing, otherwise your Sim loses friendship points and eventually the relationship itself. Making friends isn't hard, but keeping the relationship going is - especially if your Sim has to work. There are only so many hours in a Sim's day, and especially in the beginning, those hours are spent working, studying, preparing meals, sleeping, etc.
My main criticism, however, is that their children never grow up. How boring! The game would be much more interesting if they became teenagers and wreaked havoc on the neigborhood!

I recently played the sims and loved it! If you have ever played games such as zoo tycoon and enjoyed it, the sims is a exellent choice.

If for some reason you don't own The Sims, now's your time to buy it. The Sims Deluxe, includes The Sims and three expansion packs - Livin' Large, House Party, and Hot Date. This is an excellent bargain because for about the same price two years ago, you could only buy The Sims. It's definitely worth the money and you should get a lot of fun out of this game like I did.
In case you didn't know, The Sims is a real-life simulator where you have the ability to create and run your own family of Sims and build and furnish the houses they live in. This game is a lot of fun because the gameplay is virtually limitness - you can do pretty much whatever you want with your Sims - you can give them a great job with tons of money, you can marry your neighbour and start a family, or you could purposely set your house on fire! Anything's possible on The Sims. The object of the game is to keep your Sims' happy, while entertaining yourself as well. There are many household items that you can buy and your Sims can interact with these in their house. Some items, such as refridgerators, showers, beds, and toilets, fill Sims' needs so that they can be in the best mood possible. Your Sims can work and bring home the bacon to buy new things for their home, or they can slack off and watch the unpaid bills roll in!
The expansion packs are as follows:
Livin' Large - The first ever Sims expansion comes with many new items, many decor styles, new skins for your Sims, new career possibilities and a whole lot more. This one's a must for any Sims player.
House Party - Your Sims have the ability to throw parties! Along with many cool new items and skins, your Sims can throw parties that can balloon, or bust, depending or what kind of a good host your Sim is! If your party is good enough, you might get a celebrity over to your Sims' house...
Hot Date - Your sims can finally leave their homes! The new "Downtown" area is a place where Sims can take their dates, eat, shop, or just chill.
All the expansion packs are highly worthwhile, and will extend the amount of things to do on The Sims. The only complaints I have are minor ones - The isometric graphics are a little outdated after 4 years, but they still provide the same fun experience. The sounds remain pretty much the same, except for some new music in House Party and Hot Date (The sim-language rap from House Party is great! (kind of...)
Although this game might not be for everyone, I still highly recommend that you try it out, who knows, it might be for you, it might not be for you, but if it is for you, you'll probably spend a lot of waking hours playing this! You can thank me later.

This sims has been one of my favourite games for the Pc. And the sims Mega Deluxe has proven to be extreemly cost efficient. The new objects alow you 2 build houses you never dreamed of. And more than ever there are differnt actions for the sims. You can customize everyaspect of the game from the characters to the houses. Its brilliant. From cockroaches, to cuddling, The sims mega delux is the Smart buy for any Sims fan. For those not acquainted for the sims some things should be noted.
1. The game requires a lot or Memory, as such it may tend to freeze or crash randomly. However dont neglect the game for this small reason. I myself went searching The sims as well as Maxis' website in search of a remedy. Simply ensure that it is not running with other programs. Also click Ctrl Alt Delete and and click Processes, Then click username. You can delete all the prossesses under the name user EXCEPT EXPLORER, RUNDLL and TASKMGR. This gets rid of tasks ur computer is performing.
2. Also keep in mind that the sims' relationships have gone under a major reboot since the Sims. With Hot Date it is more difficult to fall in love and this requires a bit of dating downtown.
For those who love building an imaginative world and watching its characters fall in or out of love...
Cool

I am not much of a "game person" so I might bring down the review, I will give it a four star. This game is basically having the power to rule the people in this Sims place. It was pretty fun at first, but I think I am not bossy enough to play this game, because I just got so guilty...lolz, just kidding; I just got bored after a while, I think reading suits me better. Anyway, I might give it a try when I have the mood, but right now, I will stick to the reading.
I guess you can say that this game is good, because it was kind of good, so just play it and then you will decide.
Best Game Ever!

Hey if your thinking about getting this game-GET IT! The Deluxe Edititon is fun- but it gets boring not having many options. The Sims house party adds TONS of new objects and Hot Date adds more things to say to other Sims! A MUST HAVE!!!!
-Casey
P.S. The only thing I didn't like was that it messed up my computer a little bit and took up a lot of space on my hard drive, but thats it!
P.P.S. Also try- The Sims Unleashed, it has 41 Residential and Community lots in one neighborhood verses the original in the Mega Deluxe.
AWESOME!

I purchased the Double Deluxe version and thought I was getting a great deal. I should have waited for THIS one! It's got the best expansion packs you'll ever want. Superstar, Unleashed, Makin' Magic, they're all according to taste, but this is a definitive set for TheSims. If you want to play TheSims, this is the package to buy. It's not 3D graphics, but it plays beautifully and is a FUN way to kill time. Two thumbs up from me!
