I have all the minimum requirements and the game refuses to install. I read the release notes, disabled my second monitor; no luck.

They appear to have taken the $$ and run. Thank goodness the game was not a $50 purchase!

Good game - worth the price

This game was very good, although with work, food, and sleep, I could only play it for maybe 2 hours a night. I beat it in a week. It was only $15 though. So I feel like it was a deal. It's the kind of game you beat once and then up the difficulty level. Very unique in that it's a good stealth ops game with a twist: anti-hero convict Riddick has to escape the unescapeable Butcher Bay. Most stealth ops games involve government agencies or "good guys". You won't find that here.

A very addictive FPS game with good graphics. The addition of Vin Disel doing the voice over for the Riddick character added to the good graphics and storyline and you end up with a great gaming experience. Be sure to watch all the credits run at the end of the game for another great cut-scene that ties into the game opening and the movie "The Chronicles of Riddick"

This was a great game. The gameplay is similiar to half life instead of you fighting aliens you are battling your way out of prison and on the way you must confront psychotic inmates and often have to "take them out" as well as hot shot powerfreak corrections officers who are just as "bad" as the prisoners. Loads of fun and intersting dialogue awesome voice acting and sound all in an action packed FPS make this game a gem. Only downfall about this game is that it is a little too short I finished it in 4 days but it is still well worth your money if you decide to buy it. I wish theyd make more of these prison type games.

this game is done well. the graphics are good and the game play is refreshing.
it draws you into the story. a little hard to play but enjoyable when you solve a section.

First I'd like to mention that I have been playing FPS games since DOOM and have not missed one since (except those who have had bad reviews), and I was always interested in this game but no THAT much. It was released on December 2004, I started playing it 4 days ago and finished it today, and I must say it is an incredible game! I regret not buying it earlier!

Grapichs: 9.5/10 (Just almost DOOM3-like)
Sound: 10/10 (It is just SUPERB)
Gameplay: 10/10 (Great stealth, action and adventure mix)
Length: 8/10 (Just a few hours long, but GREAT few hours)
Replayability: 8/10 (No multiplayer, not really a "re-playable" game, but has director's comments unlocked once finished and other bonuses)
Value: 10/10 (It's way cheap, BUY IT!)

Parts I liked the most: The intro (basically the first 20 minutes will prove to you that this is a completely different and original game), the "Riddick Feel" (you just can't get over feeling like you are actually Riddick), the real Vin Diesel voice, great gameplay, videos are also great (intro is the best).

I would also like to mention that it is more inmersive than F.E.A.R. in the FPS "feel", more fun than Half-Life 2 overall, and it's almost as good as Doom 3. I would have liked it to be longer and have more weapons, though. It is also a bit buggy.

This game is amazing. Heres the score i give for this game.

Gameplay - 9/10: Realy fun and not boring.
Graphics - 10/10: Amazing graphics, even better then Doom 3.
Sound - 10/10: Great sound affects.
Value - 8/10: I think the value is a little to much.

So as you can see this game is awsome.
Except theres one thing you should know.
You will need a realy realy good commputer to play this game. (probebly a super computer, or alienware)
So check system requirments.
But overall this game is great, so i segest to get it.

First off, dont go thinking this game is anything revolutionary. Second, dont go in thinking this is a movie tie in. Though it was released along with the crapicles of Riddick film, this games hardly takes place in the same fictional universe. Butchers Bay takes place in the same Aliens-esque world that pitch black took place in. Chronicles was more of a dune-esque universe. This game is dark, gritty, and visceral.

It doesnt break any new ground...its basically a combination of Metal Gear Solid, Thief, and Doom3 based games. But it sticks to its guns and does what it does extreeeeemely well. Its fun, its well made, and its a solid game all around.

also, playing as an over-the-top unstoppable and far-too-cool-for-his-own-ego superstar is a LOT more fun than actually watching one. This game is a gem!

This game seems to be getting the full treatment from the shadow marketing crew. Be careful about what reviews you put any trust in.
The game is ok as a console port. It is not much of a game from PC standards. Good graphics do not make a game. It is also very short. (one day short). If you really love Vin Diesel and Riddick then you will want this, but otherwise it is not that great. I have to believe any of the over enthusiastic reviews are company plants. The reviews in the major magazines are also overly optimistic. I had minor crashes and the save game system is somewhat console-ish. Be wary of the other reviews.

Man o Man .. I could write this whole page worth of stuff but it still wouldnt be enough to explain how awesome this game is.
