I find this game fun and challenging for those of us over 45. Kids will enjoy the challenge too. Not the action, kill games we don't our children participating in. This is a fun game.

I love mind puzzler type games and this was recomended to me.
I got through the tutorial fine and it was fun. But once I started playing the game I started having trouble. You have to get the blob certain colors and I am color blind and it was too difficult.
If you are color blind or have trouble matching colors this game isn't for you. However, if you don't have that problem, this game should be a blast.
pretty fun, worth $20

i've played this game for a couple hours now and it is pretty fun. reminds me of the old "marble madness" game, but with an updated feel and technology. it gets pretty difficult, so it isn't a super easy game that you'll blow thru in minutes. it's a good level of challenge.
Mercury Meltdown is so good!

Just like all the reviewers have already shared -- this is an excellent game -- challenging (but doable with practice), multiple levels, bright colors, different views of the mazes, sound/music is cool (not irritating). This game is for the little kids right on up to the grandparents! GREAT FAMILY FUN or INDIVIDUAL PLAY (get some practice in before playing with the family so you have the advantage!). I am sure this game will continue to be used often through the years.
WELL WORTH THE MONEY -- way better than many games that cost 2x or 3x the price!
Did I mention the useful tutorial? Also, handheld wii control responds swell -- no problems -- no delays -- hangups, etc.
You won't believe what they have done with a blob of mercury! (it's alive!)
Do any of you remember the wooden labryinth game with the knobs on two sides -- you maneuvered the little silver ball through the maze and tried to avoid dropping through the holes? Think of that -- HIGH TECH!
A fun puzzle game

I came in knowing almost nothing about this game and thinking its a good price and i need another Wii game that takes advantage of the Wii mote and my sisters can play I'll try this one out.
I was pleasantly surprised.
This is one of those games in which you sit down thinking, "I'm going to play for fifteen minutes", and then two hours later you are still playing and thinking i just need to beat one more level it will only take thirty seconds more.
It reminds me of some of the old school puzzles games that have a simple concept but are lots of fun (IE Tetris, Dr. Mario Chu Chu Rocket).
It is an easy to learn, hard to master kind of game with great replay value
the only down side is that none of the party games are as good as the main game.
I definitely recommend this game for novice and masters alike.

I bought this for my 9 year-old grandson because it was listed in the brain (educational) group. He couldn't believe it was a learning game when I told him. It's so much fun, he said. He likes games that take strategy and thought. Trying to beat the mercury is great.
My daughter told me that it also become the favorite game of his 12 year-old sister and her friends.
Fun, challenging, and cheap--what's not to like?

Mercury Meltdown Revolution is an excellent game, and it's all the more amazing given the price. If you've enjoyed the Monkey Ball series it's all but guaranteed that you'll like this game as well.
I'm giving the game 5 stars because there's no question that it deserves it, but it does have one flaw that crops up fairly frequently: the viewpoint. There are often occasions in the game where you need to split your mercury blob apart, and the game will typically pull back the camera to take in all the parts, making it difficult to control the one you'd like it to focus on. There are other viewpoint issues that crop up as well (obstructed views, no good angle available, rapid switching between blobs) in a fair number of levels, and deaths caused by viewpoint issues are frequent. But it's a testament to the game's quality that it's still so enjoyable even with these issues.
Overall, this game is a pure joy--fun, addictive, and challenging--and if you're a fan of this type of game at all, you shouldn't hesitate to try it.

This game has been incredibly fun for our whole family. The kids and we parents both enjoy it. The challenges get so interesting and hard to believe it fosters laughs as well. Some appear impossible, but after a little experimenting, they can be done as well. And this game really benefits from the Wii remote. I hope we see more games like this one being released!

Mercury Meltdown Revolution is a puzzle game with a simple concept, but one that requires a fair amount of skill to unlock all of the bonus material.
You control a glob of Mercury and use one of the several control schemes (Wiimote, Classic Controller etc) to tilt the screen in order to manipulate the glob.
Every challenge has a Goal that must be reached within the time limit. However things get complicated as you must frequently use items found on each level to change the color and texture of your glob to make it to the finish line.
This is a game that will certainly make you think, and ocassionally make you scratch your head. While there are some multiplayer features that get unlocked as you progress, the main gem of this game is in the single player quest.
Overall this game will not stand up to the visual rivals of the "other" Next Gen systems, however its cartoon-ish style works well within this context. The game is easy to pick up and play and offers a great deal of satisfaction with its 130+ levels.
This is a great buy for anyone looking to round out their Wii library, and at a [...] it won't hurt you wallet.
For the price you this is an excellent game!

I bought this game after reading some of the other reviews and am so glad I did. It is an excellent bargain at only $20 when they could easily charge $50. I love how the game has a ton of levels. Each lab has about 20 levels and if you pass enough levels you open up another lab. There are about 10 labs. In addition to having a bunch of different challenging courses I have a lot of fun going back and trying to beat my old scores or getting all the stars or doing the course without losing any mercury. In the reviews I read that after you open up enough labs the game becomes two-player but I only have one more lab to open up and it is still a one-player game. My partner and I still enough watching each other and trading off who plays. It's almost as fun to watch as it is to play. This is a great game and I am glad I bought it, especially considering that it costs about $7 just to rent a game. For that price you may as well buy this game.
