Let it rip with the awesome Beyblade game!

I recently rented this game, but it's on my christmas list! Fans of Beyblade will be familliar with the concept, using a gun-shaped launcher strategicaly launch your battling top to win one of two ways: 1, stop your opponent's top from spinning 2, knock your opponent's top into one of the penalty pits of out of the stadium. However, the video game adds sone intersting strategy elements. A new way to win is by breaking your opponent's blade apart (crash out) (which can be done in the real game but is extremely rare). You can also control your Beyblade, which could only be done with an RC launcher. And the bit beasts (from the anime) play the biggest part, which can be activated by colliding with your opponent's top enough times.
The game is based on the Beyblade tournaments, however there are other features. You can play free battles to sharpen your skills. You can buy parts (which actualy exist) at the shop to customize your top and improve its performance. You can play fun games at the 1P zone, Team Battle & 10 Battle, or hook up with friends at the 4P zone. And you can view interesting blades at the gallery.
The graphics aren't anything to write home about, and the music can get repetitive, but the fun and strategic gameplay will make you forget about its bad points, and provide hours of fun.
So I'm not saying this game is perfect, I'm just saying I played this game for hours on end and saw small room for improvement. Please buy, or at least rent this game, wheather you're a Beyblade fan or not!

Beyblade V-Force: Super Tournament Battle is a journey into the world of childhood competition. You probably remember competing with your friends in various games like marbles or bottle cap slamming (POGs). Every generation must have their own, whether it's brand-new or a game from the past has been revived for a new audience.

Beyblade V-Force is the game of this generation (in the virtual world at least). It consists of something that you may not expect to see in a video game: spinning discs, a curved board, and special gun-shaped launchers that send the discs into battle. If this game doesn't ring a bell, don't worry. At first it didn't look like something I had seen before. Soon enough I was reminded of the similar, albeit primitive, versions that were available in the late 80s and early 90s. It was never my favorite kind of game, but was fun nonetheless.

Now we have a virtual version on the GameCube and a scaled-down version for the GBA. The GameCube version plays how you'd expect: shoot the disc into battle and control it with the thumbstick. Your goal is to "push" the other disc into one of the arena's gaps. Upon completing that task you win the battle, but not the game. That leads us to a very important note: there are a ton of battles in this game! They all boarder on being identical to each other, but if you like this sort of thing, you'll be glad to have so much to do before it ends.

To spice things up a bit, Beyblade V-Force includes some video game elements like battle power-ups. During battle you can unleash different super attacks that'll increase your chances of eliminating your opponent. Sometimes the attack will be so powerful that it knocks your opponent out of the arena. Other times it'll be powerful enough to weaken your adversary, causing the opposing disc (Beyblade) to either stop or break down. On the most unfortunate occasions you'll be faced with the unlucky result of a super attack block. Blocks prevent any damage from being received.

To launch these discs into battle, you start by watching a yellow meter increase towards the center of the screen. Press the A button whenever you wish, preferably as close to the red part of the meter as possible, and the discs will be thrust into battle. The yellow meter determines your Beyblade's power. If you fail to press the A button before the meter is full, you're doomed. The Beyblade fails to launch into a spin, automatically disqualifying it from that round. It's a harsh world out there, yes, but without harsh rules there would be no glory. And without this little bit of strategy added to the game, there wouldn't be much of a reason to strategize.

In a nutshell, Beyblade V-Force is a game about circular thumb movements. You'll circle the thumbstick and attempt to knock the opposing Beyblade out of the arena. It never gets any more involved than that. For that reason it's almost wrong to call this a video game. In actuality, it's a glorified, polygon-laden version of a game you can play in real life.

In the Mario Party sense, this game isn't too bad. It's more basic than a kid gamer will ever desire, but then again, so are most party games. Will kids like it if they don't even know what the heck a Beyblade is? Probably not. Part of the appeal of Mario Party is the fact that Mario, a well-known and very loved character, is the star. Parents would be wise to buy this for their children .

Gameplay: 9Press the stick 'round and 'round...and 'round some more. There really isn't much more to do here. All things considered, this isn't a bad representation of the real-life counterparts. But if you have the real thing, you don't need this. And even if you don't have the real thing, this is far from a game that should be sought after. It's amusing, AND will be able to keep most kids busy for long periods of time.

Graphics:VERY VERY GOOD

Difficulty: Easy/Medium If your hands could burn calories, you'd lose a lot of weight spinning your thumb with this one.

Concept: 6.There isn't a whole lot to this game. It's just discs and spinning.

Multiplayer: Entertaining for Hours and Hours ESPECIALLY TAG TEAM WHEN YOU CAN HELP YOUR FRIEND IN FOR WAY BATTLES.

Overall: 9
Beyblade V-Force: Super Tournament Battle is very super when it is tag team battles and bit beast attack. P.S it is better then beyblade for playstaytion.

If you get this game you won't be dissapointed!!

This is a very cool game. The graphics are awsome, and it has lots of cool blades and characters you can use. The game does not have much of a plot. And sometimes it takes waaaaaay to long just to knock out your opponents blade. But it is still pretty fun. I even have a tip for those of you having trouble with this game. Try to knock your opponent to the front of a gap in the ring, then when your opponents blade is in the middle of the gap unleash your bit beast. It should send you opponents blade flying out of the ring! I hope this review most of you to decied wether or not to buy this game.

I will never look at Beyblade the same way agian!

When my friend came over and we played i thought"this game is a piece of crap!"But then we played it and played it,and i start to get get the hang of it,then guess what,by that night i bought the game and a stadium and 3 beyblades and now i'm nuts about beyblades!!!

This game has no real story which makes it kind of boring.....but watching the beyblades spin and hit and using the cool characters,not to mention unlocking some,is cool.

The graphics are absolutely auesome and so is the music,but the thing is,when you hit your opponent,there HP goes down about 10.But when they hit you,your HP goes down by like,20!!!!
belive me,i looked.

here's what i say:
1.if you're obsessed about beyblades(like me)then buy it.
2if you like beyblades and you just think it's OK then rent it.
3if you hate beyblades whatsoever,then why are you looking at this review!?

anyway,...this game...ROCKS!!!

This is a very cool game. You can buy and customize your Bey Blade any way you like. You also earn new characters in the tornement mode like King and the DJ. You have three different bey bowls like a magenet stadium, a stadium with a spinning disk in the middle of the bowl and three out of bounds areas. Last one is the regurlar stadium. Theres also a gallery mode where you can see and unlock real bey blades. This game is up to 4 players. I may be 13 and not like the real bey blades that much but I like this game better since you can actually control the beys. It also has good graphics too. Overall this is a great game, and a must buy.

Beyblade: Super Tournament Battle

As we all know, different cultures embrace different household products. Sometimes when outsiders take a look at these products they can't help but think how it is possible for someone to actually have interest in these things! This is the case with Japan's novelty toy, the Beyblade. Remember how the yoyo was revived after being ignored for decades? I'm guessing this is the same case with Beyblades, which are actually a modern reincarnation of...tops. For those of you who don't remember, they are those colourful spinning objects that you got as prizes at arcades when you couldn't collect more than 5 tickets from those money-devouring machines.

Now, some Japanese marketing genius decided to take the idea of these new toys and turn them into an animated television show... and so Beyblades was born. (On a side note, apparently the association that regulates TV shows in Japan says that in every cartoon there must be numerous strangely-clad children with spiky hair, ranging anywhere from pink to dark purple... but I digress)

Beyblade turned out to be a huge hit; the 2nd highest-ranking kids program on cable, to be exact. So what came next for this rapidly growing franchise? A videogame, of course.

First of all, let me clear up what Beyblade: Super Tournament Battle is all about. You don't play with your every day tops, in fact they can be customized in many ways: Bit, Attack Ring, Weight Disk, Spin Gear and Blade Base. All these characteristics will influence the performance of your Beyblade during battle! Yes, that's right, you don't simply watch your top spin but you also get to fight other blades in specially built arenas. Actually, they look like stadiums more than arenas. Why would thousands of people buy tickets to see tops hit each other? No idea, but let's move on.

To win your clashes in these specially built playing fields (one is magnetic for example, somehow making everything harder) you must knock down the Beyblade of your opponent and be the last top spinning. Upgrading and changing the five parts mentioned above will be fundamental for fights, which can include up to four players. Single-player, one-on-one, and Battle Royal modes are also available if you have no friends who are willing to take a spin with you.

Fans of the anime series will be glad to hear that Tyson, Kai, Ray, Max and others are playable characters. If you're not satisfied with them, or their hair color, Atari (who bravely produced and developed this title) have also included an option to make your own Beyblade: Super Tournament Battle champion. You can choose amongst many variations for your toy top, so that you may find the fighting technique that besy fits your style. Another way to make the battle go your way is exploit your Bit Beast spirits. A beast such as a dragon or bear will come assist you within the Beyblade. Things will get pretty interesting when both players unleash their animals...I think.

Great graphics, all the control bottoms are the right ones to make the bblade work properly, sound almost like the real one, great stadiums,My favorite is DRANCER !!!!!!!!

WHAT THE HECK IS THIS!?!

Okay, the tops are alright but this is something else. The people reviewing this product are crazy. Now before you declare I'm the crazy one, and dash off, I'll tell you why this game is NOT worth buying and not worth renting. Here's how I see it and why:

Story: There is no story. Not even the typical become the best ever, and that is just embarrasing.

Graphics: Okay,not the best graphics. Not too bad however,it uses a lot of colors,but as we all know, good graphic can't save a bad game.

Controls: This game has no tutorial, so you have to learn the controls yourself. They're moderately simple once you figure them out. But they could still use work.

Concept: Now this is what really brings the game down. You battle opponents. It's as simple that... It's too simple. The game takes place on one half of a room, and in the beystadiums. And in the stadiums, (which you'll spend most of your time in) the controls are limited to summoning your bit-beast,moving and "attacking" (jerking towards your enemy). The customable beyblade tops don't really help. Nor does the fact you can be a boy or girl. In other words it's kinda... Dull.

Music: I admit it has okay music. Typical semi-rock stuff, not inspired and rather repeatative... You can't blame em' they put in like 5 music tracks...

Sound effects: The same remark as the music, acceptable, nothing that really draws you in or anything.

Overall: Pathetic really. If you're a really,really,really hard core beyblade fan, you might want to RENT this game. In general, it's kinda bad as far as games go. So this is a warning: DON'T b uy this game game if you think it will be the next Pokemon Stadium, you're wrong.
