Problems with the game

1 Rating: 1, Useful: 17 / 18

We had problems with this game, thought it was the game but after returning it 4 times and everytime the same thing happened. It wasnt our DS system because we have 4 different ones (different in days owned).

When play the trivia game, which we played a lot. I would say after playing it 30 times, we would be in the middle of a game and it would lock up and the only the you could do is turn it off. This game was fun but this was our only issue. We called the company that made it in Chicago and they took all the information and told us this (trivia) was the only game that had to be re-written for the DS. SO FYI.... this game locks up on trivia.

Okay, but lacks longevity

I expected more out of this. The games are all pretty cheesy and after several plays I was anxious to move onto the next one. They all pretty much had the same theme and look. I wouldn't recommend this game if you are wanting something that will stand the test of time. I love card games, but this one was really lame.

Regret paying so Much

I was so excited when I first ordered TouchMaster because I love these simple type games.

Unfortunately of the bunch many are lazy spin-offs or duplicates of the other games. for instance no Yahtzee, but at least 2 yahtzee rip-offs that are nearly an identical game.

For mahjong I can hardly see the little tiles and must use the letter version. one game I finished and the wrong tiles were left! One suddenly changed and I could finish.

Most of the games are poor filler. I would say maybe 5 are worth he time or money. For $20 bucks I would consider this game, but regret paying $30

Fun, technical difficulties

This is currently my most addictive game. Mainly because its quick and easy to get into. Most of the many games are fun. Some are boring. But with so many this is not surprising. My main problem with the game is when I press on the screen quite often the close or restart menu comes up. I don't know if its too sensitive. But this is really annoying because the reset is right in the middle of the screen so I have quit games when I didn't want to. I don't have problems with any other games so I'm guessing its just this one. If you press it just right the menu doesn't pop up as much so I deal with it.

I LOVE TOUCHMASTER

I love this game, but, that said, I have to say that I only love about six or seven of the games, out of the 23. The "freecell" and "tri-peaks"
games are very addictive for me, but I guess that there is a game out there somewhere that has all of the card games included...? There are a few more card games on this, that I like.

I also love the mahjong, the trivia, and even the "wheel of fortune" type games. This is a great set of games.

I only wish that someone would come out with some of the really cool Atari classics, all in one package. Or, is it already out there, and I missed it?

There is one thing that I hate about Touchmaster. It keeps the top ten scores for each game, which is nice. BUT...I cannot find a way to delete the top scores, and start from scratch. If anyone knows a way, please let me know.

Better than watching paint dry?

I was disappointed. I just bought the DS with Brain Age 2 and wanted Tetris, but that's so expensive now that I tried Touch Master instead. The games were OK but nothing great. I think what is missing is manipulating the objects on the screen...none of the decision making of Tetris, just one touch playing. The skill level needed seemed like something for young kids, not adults.

Nice variety of games, but needs detailed instructions!

Bottom line up front: This is a undoubtedly a wonderful cartridge if you're already familiar with lots of different types of games. But if you're like me and don't have a lot of gaming experience, you're probably going to have issues with many of the games on this cartridge due to lack of detailed instructions.

I've had this game for a couple months now, and I will admit it's been the cartridge most often in my NDS Lite lately. In fact, I play one or more of the games almost every night before I go to bed. But I have a major issue with the thing, and it's this: If you don't already know how to play all the games (or games similar to them), you're not going to be able to enjoy them all without a LOT of trial, error and wasted time.

The problem is that (in my opinion) the games are not all intuitive, and there are not enough instructions for each game. Quite possibly I'm an idiot, but one or two sentences in the booklet and *?* menu in each game just isn't enough to allow me to play every game well enough to be satisfied that I'm getting my time and money's worth. It's kind of like getting a new cell phone without an instruction manual: if you've had a cell phone before, you can figure out some of the intuitive functions, but if you really want to get the most out of your phone and service provider, you need the manual!

As a result, there are only a handful of Touchmaster games -- maybe a dozen -- that I feel confident I'm playing pretty well. So those are usually the only ones I play, with occasional forays into the rest of the games. But when I do try the other games, I frequently get frustrated because I don't know or understand all the rules/objectives and don't have the patience (or the time!) to spend hours figuring them out for myself. So I head back to my well-known dozen. I'm happy with those games, but I wish I could play the others, too -- WITHOUT having to spend hours trying to figure them out.

All this could be fixed easily by a booklet that provides at least a paragraph of instructions for each game. Or -- maybe this is too obvious -- build more instructions into the individual games!

Eh,..

You know when they say quantity doesn't substitute for quality, after playing around with all of the mini games,.. I find myself playing only a few of the games. I would rather have fewer games with a little more depth.

Pretty fun; enough to make time go by faster

Overall, this game is great for the money. However, like all games, they start to get monotonous when you have mastered them. It will keep you busy thinking for quite awhile and if you are always traveling, it will occupy the time.

It's ok

I was really looking forward to the Mah Jong, but it was so tiny and some of the tiles so intricate that it was nearly impossible!

Apart from that, quite good.
