Until I learned the right way to hold the remote for racing I was frustrated. The game is pretty easy and I think that children will enjoy it. I enjoy it when I'm in the mood for mindless fun. I do wish you should change the point of view by pushing the "Z" button like you can with Zelda.
My 5 year old son likes it, except for the driving

My 5 year old son really likes this game, except for the driving, which I have to do for him. Unfortunately, 1/3 or so of the game involves driving. I'd say that's the only negative about the game. We've gotten through the entire story mode and my son loves going back to previous levels in the freeplay mode. If I let him, he would play it all day long. It's not my favorite game, but it's for kids and my kid likes it a lot. Only four stars due to the difficult driving parts.

I bought this game for my five year old nephew to play while visiting. Waited for his next visit before opening, big mistake. This game took my 20 something year old daughter, and my nephew, both experienced in gaming, two hours to get to the point where the game was semi fun. Tears and fits were had by both. It was not a pretty sight. Needless to say, if I had it to do over, I would pass on this game.

Having a 4 year old that loves the series, this is a great way to keep him entertained. The first 2 levels are hard for him to get witht he driving and finding of parts and items needed, but some of the others he could do on his own. I myself got into the game with the driving section so it was a good father son moment. Once you get the hang of the controls it is an easy game to finish. Unlike some that get shelved and forgoten after a few levels.

My daughter wanted a box from Amazon so much that I found this game and got it for her. Its ok. For a 6 year old it great. A few tough spots but that is why dad is here to help her and I just tell her I dont know how to play video games (not much of a lie). I would get it for a kid again.
Worth the energy!

My 8-yr-old son and I played it. (We both have played a lot on the Wii with the standard games that came free with the Wii which my son and I have mastered).
He spent 20 minutes trying to get control of the vehicle in this SpongeBob game. Very difficult to get through course without crashing. Felt like car randomly crashed. Weak graphics. Felt like a basic cheap game with SpongeBob stuck on top of it sloppily to make it sell.
After 20 minutes of boredom and frustration, we went back to games that came with the Wii free of charge which we both felt were far superior.
This SpongeBob game lets the Wii down. Both my son and I were very disappointed.
Frustrating as you get farther along

The lower levels are pretty easy and lots of fun. As you get farther along the levels get more difficult. I don't play it very much anymore except on the free play levels. It is a good game for older kids than for younger kids.
