one of the best games I have ever played for N64

This is a very fun game. The stunt, battle, and obstacle modes are my favorites. I like games in which you use weapons and items to beat your opponents. Obstacle mode is tough, but you get good at it after awhile. The only thing I don't like is that I can't find it at ANY STORE!

Terrific futuristic speed -- and car crashes!

Although there is a better-looking version of this game on the Sega Dreamcast, this one is very, very good and holds its own. Graphics are bright and detailed, controls are crisp, and there are plenty of game modes from which to choose. My favorite is the Stunt mode, which is a zen-like exercise in launching your car into the air off of a ramp, letting it tilt turn and tumble through the air, and hoping you stick a good landing on all four wheels when the moon-like gravity finally pulls you back to earth. Your car is equipped with wings that can slow your descent, but if you use them, you lose the potential for earning big points.

As a package, SFR2049 is one of the best arcade conversions ever -- plus a lot more for the home player. The programmer, Ed Logg, is a prince of the arcades. His previous games include Asteroids, Centipede, Gauntlet, Steel Talons, Hard Drivin', and the original San Francisco Rush. I'd love to see more of this kind of work on the more recent consoles.

What can i say, this is a great game. Probably the best part about it is the fact that there are alot of different modes, like battle, stunt, single race, practice, and circuit. The best modes are stunt and battle. The graphics are great. the only problem is the fact that there are alot of things to run into, like the those trolly things. that can get annoying.

Rush 2049: Best Racer of 2000

2049 is the best racing yet released for N64 this year, and is the best game from midway yet! 2049's innovative wings feature brings a little Tony Hawk to the game. The tracks are the coolest yet, and the tricks are very cool to perform. Not to mention that they look really killer! The color change and engine change is the best yet!

This is the best video game ever! Better than any of the "Grand Theft Auto" games, this one is amazing fun! Tons of secret stuff to do!

Man, this game is awesome! I strongly suggest getting it, mostly because the speed of this game is really great, esp. compared to most of the other racing games on N64. Driving around in SanFransisco is hilly, and therefore results in some fun jumps during the game. I also really like how the cars come with wings (it makes the game much more fun), and all the many shortcuts in the levels because I love finding them. However, the races are not the only great parts of the game, take my word for it, Stunt is really, really, really fun. How many times do u fly in a car? The battle is also fun, but I would have to say that games like Descrution Derby get my vote there. Oh, and the music really rules. Advice: GET THE GAME!

FUN, BUT IT NEEDS A TUNE-UP 7.5 OUT OF 10

Rush 2049 is a decent racing game for the Nintendo 64 that while it has been worn by age, it's still fun to play. The tracks are still fun to race around and still look good despite the age of the game. The cars still look great and are still a lot of fun to drive. Multiplayer is still great and the stunt arenas are still fun. There is one issue that mars this game; it's the fact that the game starts to feel mundane after a period of time, and it won't exactly make you forget Mario Kart 64. Unfortunately, with a presence like Mario Kart on the N64, chances are this game has been long-forgotten and in some ways it is kind of a forgotten gem that is likely collecting dust in people's N64 collections instead of being played like it should.
