bad bad bad game: don't waste your hard earned money!

Controls: horrible- it takes me 5 minutes to walk 5 inches, and 20 minutes to make a 90 degree turn

Graphics: ok, but definitely could have been better

Gameplay: none

Bosses: what? only one boss?

Story: what story? ohhh.... that story.... ;)

Ok, I think you get the picture. This game is horrible. Definitely not worth 5 bucks. Or 5 minutes. The whole game is mini games. No, stop laughing, that was no joke! This game would have been saved by even being a racing game! It baffles me to think it even phsycally possible to make a game this awful. In other words, stay away from this game!!!!

This game is okay but the movement is slow. In this game you cant roll run or jump. You have to collect the tickets and buy things like a reptar doll. It doesnt even help you so you shouldnt wast your tickets. Anyway the graphics arent that good and the their faces are weird. The games I reccomend are Diddy Kong Racing and Zelda.

Much better than Scavenger Hunt, but...

Unlike the last N64 Rugrats game, I really wasn't looking foward to this one. I still didn't like the show anymore and I still thought that this license had been dumbed down for young kids. Dispite these facts, I still saw Rugrats In Paris: The Movie which this game is based on. I really liked the movie, so I decided to rent the game based on it. This is a much better game then Rugrats: Scavenger Hunt was, but it's still a little bit of a letdown. I'll start with the good things. I really liked the mini-game idea. It gives this game more replay value. The games, which range from baseball tossing, a bumper car challenge, to mini-golf are pretty fun. This game feels more like Rugrats: Search For Reptar on PS1, and that's a good thing. But sadly, this game isn't as good as Search For Reptar. One problem is the graphics. They're the best graphics in a Rugrats game yet, but the same question I had with Scavenger Hunt entered my mind when I played this game: Why didn't THQ support the Expansion Pak? With games like Banjo-Tooie and Mario Tennis out there that have better graphics, without the need of the Expansion Pak, this just can't compete. The controls are good in the mini-games, but when you're exploring Euro Reptarland, the movement of the characters is very slow, even with the analog stick pushed foward all the way. Multi-Player is sadly a bust, too. That's because you have to take turns playing with four players. It's not a problem with Mini-Golf, but it's an issue with any other mini-game. The sounds, however, are even worse then Scavenger Hunt. The sounds and music are fine(although I would have liked some music from the film), but the voice has as much in common as a baby's bib after dinner: It's a total mess. The voice was commpressed by LucasArts and Factor 5 (the people who did the voice commpression for and made Star Wars: Rogue Squadron and Battle For Naboo). In the games I just mentioned, the voice was commpressed fine, but here, it was compressed so badly, they don't sound anything like the characters' counterparts and you can barely make out what they are saying, even with the music off. And there's no option for subtitles, either. For it's target audience, this really doesn't help. So in the end, this is a much better game then Scavenger Hunt, but it's not good enough to make it a must-buy. It is a good game for kids, though, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to buy it for them. But this game can't hold up to all the other N64 3D games made for kids in mind, and with better playing and looking games like Banjo-Tooie out there, it just makes this average game's flaws even more obvious. Until I play the Game Boy Advance and Gamecube Rugrats games, the best Rugrats game is still Rugrats: Search For Reptar on PS1.

fairly decent game at best

the game is not great, still you can get fun out of it for a while. The graphics are ok, however the slow movement of the character and th fact that the multiplayer mode is not simultaneous make the game tedious. You have a series of games, some of them are really fun. Young kids will love the game, sadly playability is not extensive and advanced players will finish pretty soon...

Keep playing, it'll be fun soon.

I must say, this game is pretty darn hard. I'm 13 yet I have trouble beating mini games. Some mini games are very hard, while others are simple. For example, for the frog game if you miss 2 big bugs or one small bug, then you can't win. But something like Chuckie Chan is very easy. (although highly enertaining) I also would like to point out you need to finish puzzles to win gold tickets. Whats so hard? They give you 1 peice at a time. Whats hard about? The fact that 1/3 of the time it's not an end peice. So you have to guess where it goes in the middle. After 5 incorrect guesses you lose. 1 player is definitly fun though.

It's Okay

I couldn't say I'd expect much from this game. It is a kid's game. But it's not that bad. You start the game on 1-player, and Kimi basically says how you need to get a helmet to defeat the big bad snail guy, yadda-yadda-yadda. From then on in story mode, you pick your character, and just walk around picking up tickets and buying things. It's not that fun, it's really slow, there is only a little theme park music in the background... this game is better in two player, where you can play bumper cars, golf, and a few other mini games.

Graphics: 7.5/10. The characters look the best as they ever could on a Nintendo 64. These are great cartoony graphics.

Sound: 7/10. The voices sound fuzzy and somewhat unclear and there is very little sound; no little talk-to-selves when you are running around in story mode, and all you hear is the theme park music. It puts me almost to sleep.

Control: 7/10. Slow controls... the babys walk extremely slow, and you can't run and turn at the same time. If you want to turn, you have to stop moving, which makes the game take awhile to get to a-to-b.

Fun: 7/10. This is an OKAY game. There are 5 different parks that you can goto, that are all different in their own way. Ooey Gooey World, Main Gate to Euro Reptar Land, Golf Park, Princess Theater, and Reptar Island. It's a DECENT game for someone who's bored on one player, but multiplayer is where it's at. If you buy this game, I highly reccomend you have a friend with you to play multiplayer. This game isn't the best Rugrats game though; If you have a PS1/PS2 buy Rugrats: Search For Reptar (PS1). It's a better game. Have fun.

7.2/10

Rugrats isnt a game that i would usually play, but a friend had bought it so i thought that i would give it a go. The game is based on the film of the same title with our hero having to battle through 16 levels to find his new mommy. There are plenty of bonus levels throughout the game to keep gamers happy. Although i think this game was aimed towards the younger end of the market i feel that all ages will like it although they wont admit ti it.
