First, ignore the one star reviews, as there is a patch available that fixes the crashing problem.
Second, Bubble Bobble and Space Invaders are both on this collection, two of Taito's biggest arcade games, and that's a great start. However, the lesser known gems are the real highlights of this collection, with puzzlers like Tube It and Qix or the action-platformer Rastan. There are other games that haven't withstood the test of time on here as well, but they are fewer in number.
Controls in most of the games translate very well to the mouse and/or keyboard with a few exceptions. None of the games in the collection used some of the more exotic control schemes available on arcade cabinets; the most unusual one emulated here is the good old trackball, which is easily (though naturally not perfectly) replicated with mouse control.
The bottom line is that if you or someone you know is a fan of 80s or 90s arcade games then this collection is possibly the best value for the money, as it can be found for $5-$10 easily nowadays. That's a fantastic price for Bubble Bobble alone, and with everything else in this compilation it's stupendous.
Great Buy

Great collection of old arcade games- perfect replicas of the originals
Got it used for $5.
Was worried about computer compatibility (windows XP notebook), not because of the disc- just everything on a PC is a pain.
People- don't blame software for your hardware problems !
Using a microsoft gamepad- finding that the mouse is quicker for the shooting games though. Everything is working great !
Would have been nicer to play on the Tv/ nintendo gamecube/wii- but its not available for those and didn't want to buy another game system.
Old school classics!

Like many of the reviewers, I had the issue of the game not working. I was about to throw it in the garbage, but figured I'd check here to see if others had the same problems. Thank God for Amazon reviews! I downloaded the patch, and now everything works just fine. A nice compilation of some classic arcade games. I do hate that you have to insert the CD-ROM to use the program, but this certainly isn't the only program that does that.
