A Major Disapointment

BEFORE YOU READ THIS REVIEW-TRUST ME, I SAY IT LIKE IT IS!! I read the reviews of this game, and, having a passion for software, bought it. The box looks flashy, all colorful and all, but this game stinks!! Here are the problems:

The first problem is your "financial situation". You start out with money, but your money is always dropping a buck a second. For another thing, if you want to build this building, you have to have this one. So you search for 5 minutes only to discover you need that one to build that one!! So you search again, soon to find out that you need this one...it will go on and on. They should have it so you can buy all you want, when you want. I don't see how even the makers could have bought so many buildings to put on the back of the box!! The buildings are also very hard to find, as a mere picture shows the catagories.

The second problem is all the other things-the annoying, danananananananana-dananananananananaaaa music which gets stuck in your head, the screen is aslo difficult to navigate, and the "path a trail" feature is extremly confusing and hard to use. Also, the graphics of the skiers are bad.

The third and final problem is the tricks used to lure you to buy it. The colorful box, with the (I have to say this) beautiful pictures. On the baks bullets mark the "exiting new feaures and options" of the second game.

All-in-all, this is not a good game. If you do want to give it a spin, save the recipt, because in a few days you'll be showing it to the cashier at the store you bought it in.

P.S. If I was you, I wouldn't trust Activision in general. Electronic Arts (with Maxis, EA Games, and the Sims as divisions) definitly rules!!!

YAAAAAAAWWWWWWNN

This is the MOST BORING tycoon game ever. I take that back, the first ski resort tycoon is alot better. This game is really boring cause its impossible. they start u out with a miniscule amount of money and there are no directions on what to do at all. everything costs too much. u could just be done finishing a ski lift and boom, u are out of money. Also, the building strategy is very confusing. u could try to put a run somewhere, and without knowing it, you could accidentally run skiers off the mountain. i also dont like the "if u buy this, u get another thing" way the buy mode is structured. last, there are pretty much NO NEW FEATURES on the second one. so my advice is, if youve already wasted your money on the first of this series, dont waste more of it on the second one.

A Major Disapointment

First of all i never bought the first game! They start you out with like $50.000 and every building costs $20.000 and as soon as you build somthing your money goes down 10 dollars a second.
another thing u have to buy buildings to earn extra buildings witch is retarted witch is normal about this game, sometimes you don't even see the ones collom because it's going down so fast. every single guy get's cold in about 10 seconds wich means that you have to build a warming shack so you have about 1,000 of these $1,000 each!So if i were you i'd bye the other tycoon games!!!!!!!!

This game is very bad compared to the first. Really hard to make money. And why the hell do we have to build a freaking power plant?! Ugh. Buy the first. The first is very fun and addictive. This one was a miserable failure. Yes, I know, harsh words, but so true.

Awful

There's no instruction manual. The tutorial is useless. It is not user friendly, and the graphics are terrible. Don't even get me started over the annoying music. It takes a while to figure out how to play.

Not as easy or as much fun as the other Tycoon games. This is difficult to learn and should come with a book that teaches some basic stuff. I am a Tycoon player from years back and have trouble with this game. Not for young people.

Not as good as the first

This game is not as good at the first but still is really good. The maps are much smaller than the first but has more lift choices and has a better first person mode. There is even night skiing!!! You also have to build a ridiculous amount of buildings before you build your resort. Good advice: Buy the first one.

Now this is a fun game!

Ski Resort Tycoon II is a fun game. It's easy to build, but difficult to master. You can build anything from hotels to restaurants. You can build ski jumps and build rentals. You can also build ski schools and snowboarding schools! The possibilities are pretty much endless. There are hundreds of ways you can build your resort. With the new one, there is even night skiing! (Everything looks really pretty at night when you have everything set up. WOW!) Also...you can choose a skiier to look at it from his/her perspective. You can see what each skiier or snowboarder thinks of your park. You can even explore your own park with the controls of the arrow buttons on your keyboard if you wanted to. This one is also a really fun game for anyone who loves skiing, snowboarding, or tycoon games. For example, I'm definately not a skiier, but I just love this game. I love tycoon games in general. Get it! I don't think you'd be disappointed.

This is the best game

Just like all of the other tycoon games, this one is just as fun.
From building spas to slopes, this game has it all. The only downside of this game is it's addiction. Once you start playing, you can't stop. You can see a close up view of a skiier, and control where they go, and you can build buildings to keep your skiiers satisfied. I really recommend this game, and if you don't get it, you'll be missing out.
