Happy Holiday Stuff extras. However it's not necessary unless you're a big Sims 2 fan and enjoy the games Customization features such as building and decoration your own home.
Holiday Stuff includes various extras such as Christmas Trees, Santa outfits, Hanukkah Decorations and more.
Love the Christmas Spirit!

I just got this CD as a gift as my sister found a brand new copy at a Goodwill for $1.99. Most of the stuff in it is fairly worthless unless you have seasons, which I don't. This CD is almost all Christmas, with Halloween-Hannukah-Kwanza as afterthoughts. There are a few nice Asian outfits thrown in and some long Santa style beards which were handy. Some of the doors and windows are alright additions. The Halloween objects totaled 3, all of which are available on EA's site. Sadly, there were no new Halloween face paints, monster masks, etc.
Overall, this isn't too bad if you can get it for $5 or less, unless you really love Christmas.
Have a Simsational Holiday Season!

"With reviews of stuff packs you often see multiple complaints regarding the amount of content versus the price. This is easily arguable and when comparing the amount of content in an expansion pack versus a stuff pack and then the price comparison you are indeed better off buying the expansions. BUT, sometimes you are in the market for something in particular. Yes, there are many custom content creators out there who can rival EA for quality and value, but not everyone is comfortable downloading custom content and others prefer knowing the content they get is going to be completely game compatible. That is when stuff packs are the most useful." --- quoted from my review of the Teen Style Stuff stuff pack.
Keeping that in mind Happy Holiday Stuff is my second stuff pack purchase. While currently this item is harder to find since its release was a long time ago, if you happen to find it and get it for the price I did ($9.99) this is a nice addition to your game. My main interest in buying this stuff pack was to add a small amount of game compatable holiday stuff without adding too much. There are many great custom content creators but due to slow loading times I have cut back and the stuff packs have helped add a little extra without adding slowness.
In this stuff pack we find items for primarily Christmas but also Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, traditional New Year and Chinese New Year. For the most part I won't use much outside of the Christmas items which are primarily decor like nutcrackers and wreaths. The clothing in this pack is really yucky, the only clothing item I really like is the baby new year wear for toddlers. The clothing most will not realize is included and many may want are Cheongsams in lovely colors from rich red to royal blue.
Unless you plan on celebrating the holidays frequently in your game this probably isn't the stuff pack for you. The wall options it adds are ugly and I don't think many players (even the die-hards) will use enough of this for it to be worth the original price of the pack. But, if you really want some holiday goodies, you're uncomfortable downloading custom content and you can find it for about $10-$12 I think this is a good addition to the game. I created a Christmas store with the combination of this stuff pack and the Open for Business expansion that has been very popular with my sims.

Sort of disappointing considering the high price. You really don't get very much for the cost you pay. The Sims 1 used to have Santa visit and the Sims 2 can't even manage that. You get very little except a few decorations (no lights in the window) and the Xmas Tree you download from Maxis. You can see EA is all about getting RICH and not delivering quality.

THIS IS A FUN EXPANSION PACK. YOUR SIMS CAN PUT UP CHRISTMAS LIGHTS AND CHRISTMAS TREES. THEY CAN DECORATE THEIR HOUSES FOR THE HOLIDAYS. I JUST WISH THE SIMS COULD SING SOME CHRISTMAS CAROLS IN THEIR SIMLISH LANGUAGE. THAT WOULD BE FUN TO LISTEN TO. LOTS OF FUN WITH THIS ONE!
