I was very happy with the added stuff in the Glamour Life pack, especially the clothing.

Although the game took a little while to get to me, it was alot of fun and a great expansion pack for Sims2. All the new stuff was great.

My daughter who is 23 loves the Sims games. She has to have them as soon as they come out. She and her aunt talk about it and share ideas.(so there's not an age limit)

Well, as a long time Simmer, this add on was definately better than the family fun stuff edition. That said, there were not enough items, and the cost of the edition was too much for the contents. The fansites have wonderful downloads for the Sims 2 and I am a dedicated fan of the fansites themselves. The fur-coats and the furniture were the most impressive for me in this add-on. I also enjoyed the new wallpapers and floors as well. All in all this is a good edition, especially to those of us who don't download off the fansites. Here's hoping they do an add-on for Pets....come on people, give me more toys for my kitty cat! Happy Simming!

Save your money and buy it cheap on eBay...

It's a pretty cool addition, but you should save your money and buy it used on eBay. It doesn't have enough to add to the game for the price.

not the best add on

One of the better Stuff packs...

Stuff packs are designed as two things: #1) A cash grab for Maxis and #2) to add more items (no gameplay) to The Sims games in between expansion packs. They're a good idea in theory but often they rely on adding tons of lesser things like clothing and wallpaper/floors instead of things that Simmers clamour for - new hairstyles, edible food, and furniture.

Glamour Life is one of the better Stuff packs out there in that it does include a lot of new, nice furniture. There are a couple of main sets - a bedroom and a dining area that are in a similar art deco wood style. Aside from that there is also a huge number of decorations and accessories ranging from an elaborate chandelier to an Egyptian wall mural. The main colour schemes for both the furniture and the associated decor (floors/walls/accessories) are a few shades of wood (mahogany, orange, and pale blonde) as well as some marble (green, black, white) to add a bit of decadence to your home.

In terms of clothing, the game really only adds formal wear - tons of nice new things for the adult male and females but not much for the other ages. There are a couple of new regular outfits as well (fur coats and suits for the ladies for example) and silk PJs for the adults. There aren't very many new hairstyles or other 'looks' features.

Overall I think this is one of the better stuff packs because the theme is not as specific as other packs - you'll use the furniture a lot more than the items found in teen or family stuff because they aren't related to children/teens - they can be used lifelong. I've found myself using them a lot and am glad I own this pack, even if the initial price is a bit steep.

Must have for Sims2 design enthusiasts

This is one of the must-have expansion packs for the Sims2. This pack includes modern styled items, the kinds of things you'd love to have in your own home. I have owned this for a long time, and have found that I use the items from this pack more than from any of the other item-only expansions.

I gave it 4 stars because I think these packs are a bit overpriced for what they offer, but otherwise I really enjoy what this adds to the game.

The items in this pack coordinate very well with each other and with the built in items in the game. If you are the type of Sims 2 player with lots of awesome houses then this is for you, but if you are more into family simulation and relationships, this really doesn't have that much to offer you. I'm a builder, and so this pack has really enhanced my houses.

Who doesn't like a little glitz and glamour? I appreciate the availability and quick delivery of SIMS 2 expansion disks. I recommend added as many of these STUFF disks to your games as possible; it makes your SIMS 2 homes and people a lot more interesting.
