Absolutely Wonderful!

I was surprised at how much Blue Fangs (the game's creators) included in this expansion pack. And everything that they included, is of course, dinosaur related.

The interface has not changed much; they added three new buttons which allow you to toggle on/off buildings, foliage, and guests. In the Zoo Information Panel, there is an extra tab that allows you to see how all of your money-making concessions/gift shops are doing. It provides information on how many guests went to that particular shop and your average income.

If you have Zoo Tycoon already, get it!; If you don't and you like simulation/strategy games, I suggest that you buy the original Zoo Tycoon and also Dinosaur Digs -- it will be worth the money!

Zoo Tycoon: Dinosaur digs is the best game! It's like zoo tycoon, it has the animals and the objects, but you can buy dinosaurs! There are also new objects like the large valcano! Buy your dinosaurs. At first, they are eggs. You will need to higher scientists to look at them. But when they hatch, you'lle have to look over them. The guests will be amazed at all of the dinosaurs you'lle have! Once you start the game, you can never stop! I have almost all of the games in the tycoon series!!! For those of you who don't have one of the tycoon games, you should get this game or zoo tycoon!!!!!!!!!! You really should buy this game!!!!!!!!!!!!

The other expansion for the original Zoo Tycoon, in case it bears mentioning, this expansion does not work with the sequel (which, again, has its own dinosaur expansion for added confusion). This time around, you get cloning technology that lets your resurrect dinosaurs and other prehistoric beasts. Spinosaurus, plesiosaurus, velociraptor, megatherium, wooly rhinoceros, giant Ice Age tortoise and many others, as well as added Dinosaur-themed attractions for your guest (like a pterodactyl house, and the stegosaurus golf course). This expansion is much more challenging than the original Zoo Tycoon, and adds on some difficult scenarios. The dinosaurs, by dint of their size, tend to need larger exhibits and special fences, and care must be taken in selecting their foliage (lest they smash it!). Furthermore, they need to be cared for by scientists, and captured by a special unit should they escape. I'd recommend getting this if you've already exhausted Zoo Tycoon (and the Marine Mania expansion) as it is best suited for veteran players. But yeah, its your choice. Either way, its a fun and challenging game.

Zoo Tycoon by it's self is ok but Dinosaur Digs will blow your socks off.The objects alone are outstanding and trying to get a dino happy is next to impossible but fun trying.I'm a sim junkie and this game is number 2 next to my sims.

Dinosaur Digs is the greatest!! better than the first!! but the only drawback is that its really super hard to get the Dinosaurs happy and if their not happy then obviously you all know that guests wont like that exhibit and if they dont like that exhibit then they dont like your park and if they dont like your park then they wont wanna be there and so on and so forth!!

If you are interested in the past this game is for you! This game has the coolest animals from way back. Using the electrical fences are really fun because you can shock your animals even though you can shock your guests. The Dino Digs is a fun pack of prehistoric beasts! Enjoy!

I was looking to take a little break from my sims so I bought Zoo Tycoon and the expansion pack.The graphics are good but it lacks sound.Also don't bother going to main site for this game there is nothing new and by the looks of it nothing will be added.You want fun,sound and good graphics try the Sims or Roller Coaster Tycoon.

I liked Zoo Tycoon but the dinosaur Expansion pak constantly crashes. You work an hour on it and get a black screen and lose all your work. The dinasaurs are constantly breaking out and causing it to be a hard game to keep moving. I mean they ate my scientist,then they ate a maintenance man. I like the original game and believe they could add more animals to it and forget the past.

Only for the Dinosaur lover!

My daughter loved Zoo tycoon. I thought she would like this more, but no. She thinks Dinosaurs are cool but the care and up keep a zoo was not very natural. By natural I mean, she thinks of a Dinosaur in the wild, and it made he uncomfortable thinking of ways to pin them in. It is a mindset that made her stop using the game after a couple of tries.

You might have better luck, but that's what happen to me.
