Could be better

Not many cards... Quite boring with that kind of ammount. It's like if you draw Mystical Elf it automaticly makes it your life saver. Also not enough traps and field magic cards... Just get Joey the Passion it has 700+ cards and Joey is using diffrent deck strategies like Light Deck, Water and Aqua Deck, Dragon's and much more! Kaiba is ok I guess.

Sounds like people have found the same problems I have

I have been looking at the reviews to see if people have been having the same problems that I have. I have just found out why: the game does save your changes but it is saving them to a different folder, the Common Folder. To solve the problem you must change the name of the Common folder to that of the Installation folder and here is how you do it:

1. Go to "Start" (on the bottom left-hand corner of your screen), click "Run" and type in "regedit" in the prompt.
2. Go to "Hkey", then "local machine" and find "Konami".
3. Go into Konami and alter the Common Directory (Commondir) value so it reads:
C:\Program Files\KONAMI\Yu-Gi-Oh! Power of Chaos YUGI THE DESTINY\Common Files

Problem solved!

How do I find this game? It is at its best if you have Joey the Passion, because you can import cards from Yugi into Joey (doesn't seem to go the other way, though). I like the theme music. The tutorial is way too basic and is only for absolute beginners.

Overall, I would rate Joey the Passion as far superior. Joey has a "level-up" from absolute beginners to advanced. As you advance, so does Joey, and he is a far more versatile player. He uses different combinations, strategies and decks.

However, I must say Yugi is polite, whether you win or. Joey sometimes says "you stink" and Kaiba is even more arrogant - he sometimes calls you "a pathetic dog!" Still, if you are a fan of the show, you know to expect remarks like that from Kaiba.

Anyway, if you want to add more cards to Joey or Kaiba, definitely have Yugi the Destiny.

Don't waste your time with this garbage.

I definently have to agree with Spartan 117. This game is pointless. I would probably have to say that even the Yu-Gi-Oh!
manics won't enjoy this.

Incredible...

This was my first Yu-Gi-Oh! video game so I really treat with respect seeing it was the one that taught me how to play the game in the first place. I got this before I collected the actual cards and learned well thanks to the excellent accurate tutorial mode which pulls you into the action quicker than you can say 'Yu-Gi-Oh!'. The english card art is faithfully reproduced thanks to the PC hardrive's excellent graphics and you get to play against Yugi to prove you're better than him! The rules are exactly the same as the trading card game and I tell you, it is very addictive. There is 155 cards to collect and to win them you must win duels. Unlike other Yu-Gi-Oh! games, you start with decent cards - four star cards like Neo the Magic Swordsman and Mystic Clown plus Dark Magician and Summoned Skull! No duelist level, just hours of non-stop fun and addictive play using whatever cards you like! Buy it now before the boredom takes you over!

Cool Intro to genre, but gets stale fast

I've watched Yu-Gi-Oh since shortly after the cartoon first made it to the US, and I've played Duel Monsters several times with friends. I was pleasantly surprised, then, when a PC version of the game showed up, especially one that allowed you to duel Yugi himself! So, did it live up to expectations?

The answer is, yes and no. On the upside, the action is fast-paced, and Yugi was a real challenge the first several times I played him. While you start out with a so-so deck, Yugi's is fully loaded, so trying to beat him at first is difficult. The theme music adds to the atmosphere, and changes in intensity if one side gains a large lead (3000 points or more). The card renderings are true-to-life, and getting new cards from a win over Yugi adds to the excitement as you wait to see if you might get a new (and hopefully useful) card.

The negatives, however, soon become apparent. As you add more powerful cards to your deck, Yugi does not. What at first was a challenge soon becomes routine; pretty soon I was beating Yugi nine times out of ten, and usually without losing a single life point. The rare times I lost were usually either because Yugi managed to draw the five cards of Exodia early on, or I could not draw any monsters I could summon onto the field (few things are more frustrating than drawing seven or eight trap/magic cards in a row, especially when you've got plenty of monster cards in your deck). Also, Yugi has a tendency to make some incredibly stupid moves (sacrificing "Dark Magician" to summon "Curse of Dragon"; playing a monster to the field, and then immediately destroying it with "Dark Hole"; etc.) that are hardly befitting the "King of Games." Even Yugi's dialogue--rather charming at first--becomes boringly repetitive, and you can't shut it off. And pretty soon you've won every card available, so that getting that 12th "Blue Eyes White Dragon" just doesn't seem worth the effort (especially since you can't have more than three in your deck at a time, anyway).

All in all, this is a very good intro to Duel Monsters, but you'll be wanting to purchase Kaiba and then Joey pretty soon afterwards to maintain your interest.

can't use cards from one game in the other

The gameplay of the power of chaos is good but you can't use the cards you can't import your deck from one game to the other. You can only use the cards the other games have. And another problem this game has is that it won't keep the changes you make to your deck.

So boring you'd be better off playing yourself in the mirror

Yugi is so annoying when he uses Exodia to win. Otherwise he is very easy to beat once you know how he plays.

Hopefully this list will be of some use to those of you who wonder which cards are left to receive. Keep at it, you'll get them eventually!

I will post the Kaiba and Joey lists when I have completed those games. (attack/defense), T = trap card, S = spell card

I got the game free with a magazine and it stank!
It's just like everyother card based game,
and it has more glitches then you can count!
I can beat the came in 20 minutes, and its not much fun.
Oh yes, and how cold I forget about Yugi constantly apearing
on your screen, saying some stupid corney line like
"Lets finish this!" or "Beleave in the cards.........."
And Im acually a Yu-Gi-Oh fan! But I realy sugest you stay away from this boring game!
