A Fun & Addictive Game

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 47 / 47

I recently started playing several computer games, and this one was recommended to me by a friend - she said it could be addicting, and I must say that she was right!

I have been playing Jewel Quest on and off for several months now, and it seems as if the levels will never end. I think this is a good thing, because once you solve a game, you usually don't play it again. Because of the sheer # of levels, this game can provide many, many hours of enjoyment (or frustration....)

One of the great features of this game is that you are never made to start all over again - You keep working on the same board until you conquer it. After you've attempted the same board several times without beating it, you are given the option to just skip that particular level, and move on. I personally never choose that option, but I like to know that the option is available if I get too frustrated with the difficulty of a particular section.

The goal of Jewel Quest is to match various items - you must match at least 3 of the same item in a row or colum. By doing this, you turn the "sand" tiles to "gold", and you must get the entire grid gold within a specific period of time. It may sound easy, but as you move along the levels, it actually gets quite difficult.

Overall, I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys matching games where there is increasing levels of difficulty. My thought is that it's probably more appropriate for adults as opposed to children.

Fun game. Can be habit forming, if you do not succed the first time it lets you try again and again after so many tries it moves you to the next level, onlike some games that says you done for. some of the games do get boring after you have played them a half dozen times before moving to the next level. But over all I enjoy it.

So addicting

As others have made note, this is an addictive game. You line up three or more icons to change the tile color. Sounds simple until you get into the icons that have to be unfrozen, multiple tile changes, and black idol 'bombs' that can set up delays for you. The complexity of various level/boards is a challenge and you simply don't get the same game twice. Very fun and quite addictive and occassionally frustrating. Anyway you look at it, it's not a bad investment because you'll beat it, forget about it, and then try it again a few months later and get hooked again.

Very addictive game. I cruised through the first level and now I am really challenged with the second and there are three more to go after that.

As the title states this game is fantastic for those that love strategy games. It has all the elements of tetris, but with some major differences being the size of the grids and the jewels are ever changing and the number of challenge levels is staggering and they throw new things at you all the time. It is a beat the clock kind of game and it does have epic movie kind of background music, I get lost in it every time I play.

The game of Jewel Quest is exciting to play. It requires a thought process like a game of high speed chess. Its quite tempting to play just one more game,ie: it could become quite addictive. I quite satisfied with it. I also have other games by "I WIN". Tom Michigan

I very much enjoy this game. I have never been a very cleaver gamer and love this type of game. I like is as well or better than Creepnight Pinball. It is a grandly mindless diversion and it has nifty sound effects as well. It has been one of my more intelligent purchases. I play it every day.

The game is interesting and keeps you going. It also lets you advance to another level if you can't make it on your own so it gives you some hope to do better at the other level. The whole family gets into this game and I have to say it was one of the better purchases in the game genre.

This games is really fun and is challenging, especially at the upper levels. I'm stuck on a level right now and just can't seem to get through it before the time runs out. It gives you plenty of time so you don't really feel rushed though. This is a games I'll play over and over!

Jewel Quest is an Indiana Jones-ish game with a great soundtrack that leaves you on the edge of your seat trying to beat the clock. It's easy to say "just one more level" and then end up playing for another hour! Lots of fun, but some of the grids may be too frustrating for some people. (The key is to turn the boxes to gold from the bottom up.)
