We love the Jeopardy game. The music and sounds are pretty real, the questions are challenging (there are several levels to pick from), and one, two or three people can play. The down side is that the game is extremely picky about correct spelling of the question, even if you've selected the lenient choice. But overall, we love the game.
Needs More Work

I think they jumped the gun on this one. They should have taken more time to work out the kinks. My CD is jumpy and tends to skip. There is also too much time wasted getting to the actual game, and no way to go around it that I can see. Also, sometimes the answer misses the mark. For example, the "answer" was "...this family..." and my "question" was "Who was the Mayo Family", which was not accepted, but the other contestant's "Who was Mayo" was accepted! On the good side, the graphics are wonderful. I think I will return to the old game for now.
This game is too hard for anyone

This game is almost impossible to win. I've played over 16 games and it's too hard. The game needs some more work and it gets really boring after a while because the questions are really difficult and they give you so much time for every question.
Good for 1 player - no good for multiple players

I love this game, except for one glaring problem: when multiple humans are playing, one is assigned the space bar as a ring in key. This key always reacts slower than the other keys (control and alt), making mult-player games frustrating.
The same Jeopardy you've seen on TV, except for a few flaws

All in all, a fun game set up just about exactly as the tv show goes. But I ran into a couple of problems. As a previous reviewer mentioned, the "alt" key is considerably slower than the space bar when ringing in and playing against an opponent. This gives an obvious disadvantage to the player stuck with that control. Another is in the variety of questions. For some reason, I know many more answers when I watch the show on tv, versus playing the cd rom (which could be my fault, I'll admit!)but I believe that the questions here are more difficult. Also, I have had "repeat" questions come up from previous games, though I've probably played the game no more than a dozen times.
Great Game!

I love this game, even though there are a few flaws. I'll look forward to the 2nd edition of the game, if another company decides to make one. If you are a big fan of Jeopardy!, then I would buy it, but if your just an average gamer, I would'nt get it.
Good product ... but some definite flaws

I like the Jeopardy CD-Rom game and find it vastly improved over a very old floppy disk version I've played. However, I find it extremely annoying that entire categories repeat themselves frequently, making it impossible to play fairly with other people when you already have seen the answers. Also, on my computer, the player with the control key seems to have a big advantage over the player with the space bar, and overall I have found the questions to be way too easy. I also find that the computer players frequently make ridiculous wagers when they hit the daily doubles. It is not unusual for them to wager all their money when they already have a big lead and take themselves completely out of the game if they miss; nobody in real life would be that stupid. On the positive side, this game closely resembles the TV version, the graphics are crisp and it's easy to play. Just don't expect it to do anything towards preparing you to go on TV and play for real.
So real.

This game is so real. Alex Trebek really talks. Johnny Gilbert really anounces. You really hear "From the Sony Pictures Studios, this is JEOPARDY!" at the begining of each game. There's really aplause. You can fix the settings and save games. You can play normal, tournament or speed match games. Most of the questions are probably too hard for kids though.

This game is for anyone that really likes to watch Jeopardy and wants learn something new. I pre-qualified for the "real" Jeopardy. I was never on the show however. The question are not outrageously hard. However, if you feel the questions are too hard ... keep playing at the same skill level. You will have repeated categories ... that will be your test. How good is your memory? It is a lot of fun if you play to learn instead of play to win!
I read other reviews about the "ring in" keys. The three ring in keys are, Control for player 1, Space Bar for player 2, and Shift Key for player 3. My experience with the game is, player 1 has an advantage over 2, and players 1 & 2 have an advantage over player 3. In another review, the writer stated that the shift key had a big disadvantage over the other two players. I find this totally untrue on my keyboard. So, the "flaw" in the game is not necessarily the same for all keyboards.
Don't let this stop you from buying the game. For my family, the fun is more in the knowledge received from playing. Even if you are at a disadvantage it is still fun. And, we change seats for each game. So, if you have the shift key (slowest ring in)for the first game you will have the control key (fastest ring in) for the second game.
Really ... BUY Jeopardy if you love Jeopardy!

Let me start off by saying that no game show computer game can be spectacular or addictive. It just can't be realistic enough.
But Jeopardy is about as good as a game show computer game can get. The questions are realistic (I think that they are actual show questions) and the opponents are tough enought to beat you more than half the time, if you want to set the difficulty high enough. That is my favorite feature of the game -- it is not too easy to win every time.
Another feature that I like is that you can set the spelling strictness to the level that you like. It is rare that you get a question wrong because you misspelled the word. That is a nice feature.
I haven't played the game enough to see the categories repeat themselves. That is a problem with every computer game of this type, and there is basically no way around that.
I give this game a three, which is about the highest rating that I would give a game show game.
