Be prepared to fight to the bitter end, for the road to glory is paved with the bones of those who came before you. Lord Ironfist is dead and the kingdom has been plunged into a vicious civil war by the deceased Lord's feuding sons. The ultimate prize is at stake, control of the land and the royal throne. You can choose to support the villainous usurper and lead the armies of evil, or be loyal to the righteous prince and deliver the people from tyranny. This game counld possibly be one of the best games ever. It is far better than HOMM1 ( I mean, people dissapearing in a cloud of red stuff? how fun is that?), and has tons of new monsters and heroes to play with. The heroes can be of six different types; Knight, Barbarian, Sorceress, Warlock, Wizard and Necromancer, each with it's own special talents and monsters. The Castles are all different, and there are some pretty cool spells as well. The Campain Games are fantastic, and they have different sized maps and special Lose/Win factors. It has really good sound, although if you have a slow computer, it somtimes doesn't play while the video are running. The difficulty of the map can be set like in Heroes 1, but in general, the maps are harder. The format is turn based, so if you don't like turn based games, you might not like it. Which is crazy. Overall, I have to give this game a oustanding review
