Before you think about buying this......DONT

1.THE STUFF IS STUPID AND IS ONLY GOOD WHEN THROWING PARTES.HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU THROW A PARTY WHEN YOU PLAY THE GAME?!!

2.YES, SOME ITEMS CAN ONLY BE BOUGHT IN STORES.BUT NOT IN THESE SILLY LITTLE STUFF PACKS.STOP BING CHEAP AND BUY THE EXPANSION PACKS FOR 100S OF NEW ITEM AND MORE OPEN POSSIBILITIES.

3.WHY BUT THIS FOR $17 WHICH ONLY HAS A FEW ITEMS WHEN YOU CAN GO TO A REPUTABLE FAN SITE AND DOWNLOAD MILLIONS OF STUFF FOR FREE.?!

Yet again too expensive

So here we are again with a new stuff pack initially priced at $19.99. I've seen the screenshots and while it all looks neat there's not enough of it to make it worth that price. Sorry Amazon but even your sale price of $17.99 isn't enough to tempt me. There's all kind of free fan sites out there like ModTheSims2 with tons of downloads. There's also Pronup Sims for beautiful wedding attire and accessories. Do your research, have a good anti-virus program, stick with reputable fan sites, pay attention to what and how you download and you won't crash your game. If a new download causes a problem, remove it! Simple as that.

Yes I do buy the stuff packs. But I don't buy them here or anywhere else for over $12. I wait until Circuit City puts the stuff packs on sale for under $10. That price is reasonable for the amount of stuff included. If Amazon was willing to do that they'd have my business. Come to think of it, I bet if EA initially dropped the retail price about $10 these stuff packs would literally fly off the shelves at most stores.

Not Again EA! This may be long but read it, please!

Ok, so if you keep up with the Sims 2, then you'll know that EA has been releasing new "Stuff Packs" every couple of months or so, in order to compete with the ever-growing list of Sims 2 fansites out there. For those of you who are new to the Sims, let me tell you, there is a HUGE fanbase, and several sites such as ModTheSims2, and The Sims 2 Resource, which offer quality new objects and colors for the game for absolutely free! Why keep wasting money on these packs which add maybe 60 new items, when you can visit a fansite and download thousands upon thousands of objects that look just as good, for free? I've always been a big fan of the Sims games ever since 2002, but if EA thinks that they'll continuously get my money and support from their chain of stuff packs, then they're wrong. I have the previous 3 stuff packs, and never will buy a forth. Even for &10 these are a rip-off. These stuff packs barely add anything...a few wall and floor textures...some chairs and tables, whatever! The point is, you can get all this stuff for free and save yourself money. Even if you're a Sims 2 maniac like me, play it safe and stick to the basic Expansion Packs, which add more objects than the stuff packs and introduce new gameplay elements.

How often do you throw a party?

I think that the SIMS have gone overboard. They are trying to cash in on what some great designers have done on the internet. Seriously you would be better off giving your $20 to some SIMS website that creats houses, clothing, hair, etc. This expansion is a waste. (Time and Money)

I will the would create something ORIGINAL for the game. They keep leashing out the SAME expansions that they did for SIMS1 that they are issuing for THE SIMS2. Something original would be nice.

Disappointed Simmer

I love Sims 2 but this "Celebration Stuff Pack" is a waste of money. I wish they would give you more than 4.5 mintues to have a party. And I wish you could invite over more than 2 guests. I think the creators probably added: 2 more carpets, 2 banners, 3 cakes, a buffet table, side table, 3 or 4 more chairs, 2 ballon choices, and maybe 9 more other things that I can't think of right now. If you are really looking for something that adds more depth to the game and that you will get more use of then get the "Glamour Life Stuff pack". Don't waste your money even if it is just $9.99 get something else instead.

Not really worth the money

Ok, Let's just get this out of the way. I LOVE the Sims 2. I have all the games and stuff packs. For the money the best stuff pack was GLAMOUR Life. That pack contained some AMAZING stuff.
This pack has some wedding dresses and new Tuxedos, but they aren't very flattering. They are like the vest and tie outfit, they make the males look bulky.
Some new hairstyles for the ladies, some are very pretty.
This is mostly decorative chairs and tables, a new buffet, a new grill, some floral centerpieces and wedding arches.
If your Sim is a wedding planner, then this is the Stuff pack for you. LOL
Overall, I am not too thrilled with it and am glad I didnt spend more than $20 on it.

It's a'right

I'm a sims 2 addict. Love every game and expansion, but I admit I was disappointed in this title. Many of the items were so-so. If you like having parties with the sims some of these objects might be useful. But in day-to-day sims 2 use they were sadly lacking.

I guess I'd like to see a few more practical items such as new 'cookable' food, or more modern clothing/hairstyles.

I also could not get my sims to eat any of the new cakes. The only option was to dispose of it, even after I just purchased them.

Disappointing.

Entertaining for some Sims . . .

This is a nice, reasonably thorough connection of Party-themed items for Sims 2. If you like throwing parties for your Sims, this expansion pack is great and well worth the cost. If you tend to let birthdays, graduations and weddings pass without notice, then you probably won't find the selection all that exciting. I'm looking forward to using the lovely wedding decorations and through a real shindig for my engaged couple once they graduate college.

Disappointing

I love the Sims 2. I play it often. I was excited to see there was another stuff pack coming out, because the "stuff" is always my favourite part of any expansion pack. However, the selection in this stuff pack really isn't worth the twenty dollars. The bulk of the new features are multiple versions of the same few formal dresses for female sims. If you enjoy marrying off your Sims or throwing parties, you might like this one. Personally I wish I hadn't bothered with it.

TS2: Celebration Stuff

When I buy a stuff pack I expect items & clothes that are of much higher quality than I can get in most of the custom content community. I also expect that the items and clothes are very different from base game objects. This stuff pack was a total waste of money as it failed on both points. Most of the items have been available from the community for a long time, the clothes in specific, and are much better than what Celebrations provides. The items were dull and uninspired - mostly reworkings of their existing items. A buffet, cloth covered tables, grills, cakes, and vases all are a part of the existing base game and EPs. Sure the Celebration items are slightly different but for the money I've spent on this game, its expansion packs and stuff packs I expect a bit more effort of Maxis' part. Additionally weddings can still only take place on Residential Lots - not Community lots as the pictures seem to indicate so all you are really getting are some so-so items, crappy dresses and a balloon arch.
