This game is incredibly bad. I really can't stress that enough. It has aspirations of being fantastic and some of the obvious ideas expressed in it are great, but to say that they fail in meeting their goal would be a vast understatement. The game is virutally unplayable out of the box and requires you to download at least three (thus far) giant patches that still don't fix everything. I have a high-end computer that more than doubles the recommended requirements of this game and it still runs terribly. At the price, it's still a horrible investment.

I bought this game thinking it would be fun buying and upgrading cars, then racing them. I also thought it would be a cheaper alternative to Need For Speed Underground. Well the upgradings not bad but the racing is terrible. The graphics are so bad. If is fun upgrading your car but thats it. There are also so many bugs and glitches that it is hard to play.

Well, what can I say. This is a superb racing game, where you have the freedom to buy your own car, fix it up, change out motors and more. That is, if you have survived the bug issues that have plagued the game since it's inception in October 2002.
Once you obtain 3 patches Activision will provide, then, things seem to run great. The only exceptions are (Sometimes slow frames).(Sometimes the game just turns off, with no explanation). Then, you loose all of your memory. I have played this game for 6 months. I have learned a ton of tricks and things that have enabled me to finally become a millionaire in the game. Once you get past the 1st level, that is when you can get to the top fast. There are so many secrets and hidden places in the game, that I still find new things about every week. The inventors of this game must have taken it from the movie, The Fast and the Furious. Even Vin Diesels car is in the game. Of course they call it something else. I Won't say. But you will find out. When this game works well, it is a rush it seems from hell! but when the game crashes from time to time,Oh, this is not pretty. Now I am addicted to this game having learned so many short cuts. If you love cars, and street racers, you have to get this game. Mine is PC Version.
Good Luck and Have Fun!!!
