I love this game. It's not boring. It's very challenging. It's very well made and fun to play. It's quick to pick up and learn too!

Great Game; "PG" rated

I liked this game because it was more of a "PG" or family game than most of the dark immoral kill/sorcery type of games. Although you do shoot some bad guys on the sides of the road that are shooting at you, your main objective is not very bloody. You shoot at the car to stop it. In fact, if you hurt the bad guy you need the info from, you lose and have to start the level again. It's a wonderful combination of shooting/driving. Although it takes some patience on some levels I never get tired of it. There are also extras like "racing" in which you race other drivers, shooting them in order to slow them down/stop them. VR (Viewer Rating) points are also a feature that makes the game a bit more challenging. If you drop below 250 on any level (episode) you cannot continue to the next season (6 episodes each). All in all a decent family game that is challenging.

Huggy Bear slap me some skin!

Starsky and Hutch return to fight crime the old fashioned way...with a cool car and wreckless driving. Okay, this game doesn't set any new standards, but will give you a few hours of diversion while you chase the bad guys all over Bay City and blow things up as you go along. There enough side attractions such as slow motion cut-away scenes to keep your interest, as well as a storyline to follow as you try to keep your viewer rating points above 0, or else your "episode" gets cancelled. Once you finish the 18 episodes available, the game may lose its interest.

The difficulty of making a TV show into a game

Putting you behind the wheel of the Striped Tomato (Gran Torino), you play as both heroes. Starsky drives while Hutch leans out the passenger window to shoot at cars or power-up icons. The game initally appears to be a retread of Grand Theft Auto III, but these guys never leave their car. The game focuses purely on the thrill of the Hollywood-style car chase.

The Story Mode is played out across three seasons, each with six episodes. You have to unlock Season 2 and 3 by scoring enough points.

Every episode is a variation on a "the punks are getting away, stop 'em!" gambit. Tedium turns frustrating when you realize just how muchdamage enemies can absorb before exploding.

The game has enough content to keep you busy some hours. Myself, I did not finish it because I lost interest.
