Expect to spend many hours trying to figure out how to play this cheap game designed to cash in on kids who love trucks.
More likely than not the only reason to purchase this game would be because there is a little kid in your gaming world who loves construction trucks. Unfortunately most kids, like my four year old, will be deeply disappointed with it, even while playing with an adult. Activision's only instructions included with the game are keyboard controls, which direct you on how to maneuver trucks when in a 1st person driving challenge. All other aspects of gameplay, which should normally be detailed in a Tycoon type game, are lacking. An extreme learning curve is required as you must figure out how to manage employees, use equipment, balance money, build structures, and complete scenarios. The controls appear generic and simple, some work and some don't, and your trial and error experiences will surely leave the little ones bored with the game. This is a cheap game that is not designed to offer hours of intense gameplay. The first clue is the intro music, which sounds canned and underproduced. The graphics are pretty standard, while the are really poor in the 1st person driving challenges. Speaking of which, I can see no reason why these challenges are included in the game. Accessible only in the scenarios, they have no effect on anything related to scenario completion. The scenarios themselves do seem interesting, but unfortunately with little instruction you will be hard pressed to find an unlimited amount of time to be able to figure out how to play them.
Overall, a very poor game that isn't worth playing.

I work for a Caterpillar Dealer and was delighted to see this game while in the store. I bought it expecting gameplay along the lines of other tycoon style games (which is my favorite genre). The most disappointing aspect was the obvious lack of development effort. Clicking the various workers and machines was difficult at best and the graphics were not well below my expectations. I would not recommend purchasing this.
OMG the worst game ever!

This game sucks so bad it leaves you frustrated. Controls only work half the time and with no instructions, its almost impossible. Workers dont follow commands and gameplay is horrible. I cant believe activision actually put their name on it. BLEH!! If i had four thumbs they'd all be down. What a waste of $20.

I bought this game from the local Wal-Mart expecting to actually be able to operate construction machinery on a construction site. Guess my first clue should've been the TYCOON in the title.
I have a fairly high-end system and when I first played the game I thought it was a stupid joke, you get two or three AI characters who do absolutely nothing even after receiving orders multiple times, the challenges are even more pathetic, you can go backward, you can go forward, you can turn left/right ***Just Barely*** and by the time you're in just the right position to make just the right move... Oops "TIME'S UP."
This game is a complete waste of time and funds, If you see it on the shelf at the mall take my advice and just walk away.

FOUR YEAR OLD: It's a LOT good! I like the tractors. I love digging with the tractors and I love pushing dirt. There is something frustrated with the grass. I want to play it 30 days. It's easy to do the keys. That is it.
MOM: I almost returned this before opening it because of the reviews here but my son was so excited about the art on the box that my heart just couldn't do it. So I told him that like another toy he recently got, it might be really different on the inside. My son's been enamored with this game since we loaded it 24-hours ago. We bought it new for 5.99. It was worth that price. I don't know what he means by "grass!" I've lost count of the number of hugs I've gotten since buying this!
Wheres the instructions!!!!

This looks a good game and the graphics are great but the lack of instructions as to what you can actually do with this game is very dissapointing. Its trial and error as to learning what the game can do and this is not good enough in my eyes.
