This game is great and carries on the same aspects as the other Backyard games. Choose to be an NHL team or a made-up team. "Draft" your players and play single game or a season in any of the various arenas. The Backyard series continues with another fun exciting game with the great aspect of a pickup game in various places from a "street" arena to a sophisticated indoor arena. This game is highly recommended.
Pretty sweet.

This game is really good. It's compatible with multiple operating systems, which is why it was appealing to me, and most of all, it's "backyard" style play is very alluring. Just a great product overall.

I think this game is really good. People say this is too easy but i am 11 and I play on hard mode and I lose sometimes It is deffinetly better then the first backyard basketball because the originial only had two pros and this has ten. This game has good pros and good pro selections but they could have had better people as well like Steve Francis, Baron Davis and Kobe Bryant. Some of the people in there have not very good attributes like Tim Duncan has no outside shot but in real life he is a good outside shooter and Pau Gasol has no outside shot but can make all of the three pointers he shoots. Making a shot is very easy from outside but inside shots are kinda difficult. This game has the same graphics and gameplay as Backyard Hockey which I like the gameplay but the graphics i don't like. I would reccomend this game for 5-12 year olds and if you want the ultimate team I would pick Tracy McGrady, Dirk Nowitzki and Tim Duncan as starters and reserves Yao Ming and Paul Peirce. Other than the bad graphics and the choosing of the pros and pro's attributes this is a very fun and good game.
Great Game

I really thought when I downloaded a demo of this game that it would be good and I wasn't disappointed. The only things I don't like about this game is winning 45-0, 50-0, etc. and also having to wait for the two idiot announcers to shut up before the pitcher will pitch the ball. Sometimes the announcers can talk for a long period of time and you are forced to press the ESCAPE button to make them shut up and get on with the game. I game the game 4 stars for these reasons, but the game is one cute game and you will never get over some of the kids voices and antics. They are just too cute. :)
Awesome Game!

This is the best game I ever played! It's much easier to make 3-Pointers, so you can have a better chance at winning. I got this game the day it came out. I have loved the Backyard Sports Since Backyard Baseball back in 1997. I love any kind of Humongous Entertainment game. This game has all new players, like Dirk Nowitzki, Yao Ming, Vince Carter, and many more. This is THE FUNNEST Backyard Sports game ever!

My son has had this game for about 6 mos and loves it. I am purchasing another game for my niece as a gift. She loves playing it so much at my house, that she wants her own copy of it.
We are now probably going to get Backyard Hockey., love the products.

I gave Backyard Baseball 2003 a 5\5 stars grade because it's easy to play, you can pick your team and best of all there are made up backyard kids of different skill levels and to add to that there are kid versions of Major League Baseball players based on their actual skills. Each player has skills based on a scale from 1 to ten on batting, running ,pitching, and fielding. It's sad that there's no more Tony Gwynn,Mark McGwire,or Cal Ripken Jr but I understand because they're all retired. ...I also recommend this game for any sports fan!
