REAL DEAL MYSTIC FOREST

I WAS VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH THIS MYSTIC FOREST CD BECAUSE THERE IS BACKGROUND MUSIC AND NOISE THAT IS SO DISTRACTING. I TRIED TO TURN OFF THE SOUND BUT THE PROMTS DON'T WORK. I LIKE TO HEAR THE SOUNDS OF THE SLOT MACHINE NOT AMBIENT MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND.

Inferior game compared to previous Phantom EFX slots

If you own other Phantom EFX slot games such as Bonus Mania or Nickels & More, Mystic Forest may be a disappointment. Technically, installation is a problem with obvious glitches in the system. Most games are simplistic, lacking challenge and interest. Not all games have bonus rounds, and few have various levels to work your way thru in those rounds. For those who like to play stand alone offline slot games, this is not one of Phantom's better efforts--the co. seems more focused now on creating online subscriber "full casino" services.

I'm a novice at gaming on the computer so this was my first foray into a slots game and I'm glad I chose it! It is like the real thing and the graphics are great!

A few minor negatives, but an overall winner - one of the best

Bought this at a brick & mortar store for my wife. She loves slots, and I get bored easily at real casinos, so PC based slots are the perfect compromise.

What I liked about RDS Mystic Forest was the absolute control you have over the game. Contrary to another review, all aspects of the sound are controllable and completely variable as opposed to a simple on-off. It installs cleanly, runs on Vista, X64 and X86 systems, and the sound and graphics are in a word, spectacular. Game play is smooth, and in the offline mode, payouts are set to 180% so wins are frequent, but still exciting. There are a mere three keyboard shortcuts, but that's really all you need, Bet one, Bet Max, or repeat last play. There is even an MP3 player so you can replace the canned music with selections from your own MP3 library if you want. Personally, I like the music selections for each game, so I have no need for the MP3 player, but if you get bored, it's nice to have the option to change things up.

On the downside, this is yet another game that (in theory) requires the CD to be in the drive in order to play (at least is does in version 1.4) While that is incredibly annoying, there are a wealth of No CD mods available (Google is your friend) online and they work. What can't be changed is that it only runs in windowed mode, there is no full screen option that I've found. Another negative is that the online updates are dog slow, and seemingly take forever.

Still, all in all, we like it much better than the other game we purchased today, (Bally's Slots Dual Pack) or any of the other slots we've bought. It is infinitely better than the various online only slot options. This game cost twice what the other did, but for my money, it was a better deal, even with the minor annoyances. For my money, Phantom EFX offers the best and most realistic slot games out there, and they offer much better value than the cheaper competitors.

Another Great Slot Simulation from Phantom EFX

If you enjoy playing the video slot machines in the casino, this piece of computer software provides a really nice simulation of those games. This is the next best thing to being in Las Vegas or Atlantic City.

There are over twenty new slot games in MYSTIC FOREST, and they have the graphics, sound, and music that are pretty much identical to what you find in the casino. This game is pretty similar to BONUS MANIA, the slot game that Phantom EFX released last year, except the graphics and sound are even better.

There are also some video poker games you can play, although those pale in comparison to the slot games (if you like video poker, you may want to consider a game called HOYLE CASINO instead). But I suspect everyone who buys this game is interested in the slot games, and those are first-rate.

In short, you get a lot of fun for your money. I buy these games for my mother, and she enjoys them enormously. Phantom EFX is pretty much the only software company that makes these types of slot simulations for the computer. I've played all of their previous slot simulations, and this new game is their best one yet.

Highly recommended.

If you like slots, this is the game for you. Not only does it have phenomenal graphics and animations, but there are add-on slots you can purchase, and slots you can win in the prize vault.

And if you like online multiplayer, there are tournaments on virtually every slot, Guilds you can join, earn a suite, furnish your suite by buying things in the mall. Not to mention the challenges you can complete to increase your pays!

A combination of casino and first person role playing games....this one has it ALL.

If you Liked Bonus Mania you will like mystic forest too. The Games all look and sounds good, there fun and a heck of a lot cheaper then the casino. Like any set of games there will be 3-5 favorites you like to play. I really like Lava Loot, Dragons, Froggies, Sorcerers Securlem, and Caribbean Treasure. As you play and gather bonus points, Buy Bonus prizes you add three new slots and a puzzle game. If I have a complaint it would be they don't have an all scatter pay type of game such as Pompeii in the casinos. Otherwise its a good set of games you will have lots of fun.

This game is an incredible addition to Phantomefx's Online casino. Its interactive experience is something that no other game offers, becoming an online member is a great way to play the slots, card games and meet new friends. I literally have spent hundreds of hours enjoying the newest addition to this ongoing game. You never get bored with all the challenges, tournaments and new experiences you can get. Definately worth the money!

The is the ultimate game! I love the slots more and more each day. All the bonus games you can win is awesome. I would rate this the best of all the games. If you like slot games like I do, don't hesitate to invest in this one. Mystic Forest rocks!!
