I love Scooby Doo, and when I bought this game I thought it was almost going to be too easy, but I said "what the heck?" Then, I started playing it, and realized it was very challenging, and definately not a game for little kids. There are many level and bosses, and if you are a perfectionist like me and you have to finish 100%, there are many things to collect and find, which keeps you busy. I have this game for PS2, and the graphics are definitely lacking a little, but they still make the game look great. Worth buying.
definitely not for younger kids...

Neither our 5 year old or 4 year old can beat this game. They have spent quite a bit of time trying to beat it, but eventually scream for me to come in and play it. I can't even beat this darn thing, and I consider myself a fairly good Xboxer. It's way too hard for the younger group, unless they are absolutely a whiz. I'm sure I could eventually beat it, but it can get confusing as to where you need to go or where you're at. It's one game that I constantly try to hide...
A bit challenging but fun

I thought this game was pretty challenging but fun and a lot of laughs... You would need to research game tips to get further but it is a great game...
A little too difficult for "Everyone" to play

The "E" rating may mean it's appropriate for everyone to watch, but it certainly doesn't mean everyone can play it. My 6 year old wanted this game but now hardly ever plays it because it's so difficult. If they're going to make games for kids (this, and Nemo, for instance) they should make them playable for kids.
very diffucult in first level

This game is challenging for everyone, but it *is* OK for some kids. My 5 year old can't get enough of it, and would play all day every day if I let him. He has only gotten about 1/3 the way through the game, though, and then is perfectly happy starting back at the beginning next time. Gives him hours of fun. He's actually developed quite a skill. I (the 30-something Mom) love playing too, but find lack of help at higher levels frustrating. I've gotten about 60% through the game, and have gotten "stuck" without any further instruction about where to go or what to do. This is our first Xbox game, and we have all loved it.
Lots of Fun

This game has been so much fun. My two older boys are 4 and 6 and they love it. We've played the game over and over from beginning to end. This game has lots of levels and hidden things to find. As you obtain more tools & abilities you revisit levels to get things you couldn't previously. It has little movie clips that they enjoy too. Some parts are too difficult for my four year old, but my six year old has mastered the games harder portions with practice. Like any game, the initial levels are easy and they get harder as you advance. The kids love it and play for hours of fun. Definitely a great buy.
This game is NOT for a child!

This game is so hard for my youngster that he has gotten bored with it after only a short while. There are no real cheats for this game and there is NO easy mode. If your child wasn't born a gammer don't get it.. I did write to the company complaining about this game because it is marketed for small children but is too difficult for them to play.. They could care less! I won't buy another scooby doo game.
Fun but a little challenging for small kids

I got this game for my 5 year old son. He loves to watch me play the game because it is a little too difficult for him. The graphics are great, and the sound track/effects are classic Scooby Doo. We do share the controller on some of the easier parts, but for the most part daddy is playing the game. Some of the run/jump combinations are killers, especially the level in the mansion when you are trying to jump/bounce up the steps that turn smooth after the first time you enter the room. Overall, good game for slightly older kids or an adult.
Challenging and definately not for kids

My husband bought me this for Christmas. I LOVE Scooby Doo, but find this game very challenging. I am by no means a game player and was looking for something to keep my interest, but at times this game gets so hard that I become frustrated and just want to get to a place to save the game. It stinks that you have to "complete" the level before you save. The sound effects are wonderful, but if at 20something woman has difficulty playing the game...imagine what the 5, 6, 7 year olds would be like.
