With children playing all these games with are way to old for them, this is a wonderful game to have in my house that my 11 year old really likes and even my 15 year old even played it too.

Still waiting for this product to be delivered. So I am not sure why Amazon is requesting a review from me at this time? I ordered this, and many more items, weeks before the holiday cut-off date. When I didn't see movement on a portion of my order, by 12/22, I called in to complain about their "promise of delivery by 12/24". The gentleman was very nice, and re-ordered the items for next day "guaranteed" delivery. When I got the confirmation e-mail, it informed me that the ETA would be 1/14. All that after informing the operator that I was a former supervisor for Amazon, and could easily run right over to will-call and pick these items up myself. Well, suficed to say, it was very embarassing Christmas morning showing up without gifts for about five relatives.
PS Still waiting for those items.
Great Game for Young Ones!

Shrek the Third is a great game. My 4-year-old loves it. She does not get stressed out as it gives her the starting point where she left off if the character croaks. It has an advanced Mario feel while playing. It was easy for her to figure out how to work the buttons and navigate through the levels. I really like this game as it is hard to find an XBOX game that her age level can play. I also enjoy playing the game myself. Sometimes you just need a straight game without all the 'fancy frills and gadgetry'. It brings us back to how games were originally constructed, simple, purposeful, and not too overly complicated. I'm from the Atari and Nintendo age and this is definitely a good buy.

Shrek The Third game is unfortunately just a so-so game overall. The developers did not put a whole lot of time into the graphics considering this is for a next generation console. Honestly, this looks no better or worse than Shrek 2 on the old XBox. My family and I personally enjoyed Shrek 2 much more. You can really see that Shrek and Donkey look sort of distorted and definately different than in the movie. So far, most of the voice acting in the game has not been from the movie actors. Puss' voice is really evident. Unless Antonio had strep throat while recording, that is not his voice.
Gameplay is fairly straight-forward. Mash buttons and follow a predetermined path. There are some hidden things here and there to discover, but so far, they seem too easy to find. Also, unless you just stand there and do nothing, it is fairly hard to die.
The biggest overall disappointment and change from Shrek 2 is this does not have co-op play. The only muliplayer part there is is some mini games and some one on one battles. No co-op in the actual game adventure. We play a lot of games as a family so this is a huge negative for us. Yes, Shrek 2 the game was sort of corny to play, but at least we could play it together.
This game is far from worth $50, so this is a rental at best.
