I bought this game earlier today and just now stopped playing. I've always wanted to try Prince of Persia on other consoles but never got around to it. This is my first time playing any of the series and I must say I'm extremely impressed.

Yes, the graphics are not even close to Playstation quality (but it's a Wii and we all know this by now). But out of the 9 games I own for the Wii, the graphics on this one are probably the best.

Sure, the controls take a LOT of time to get used to, there are a ton of things to remember and get comfortable with, but once you get it, it's no problem. I don't understand why people are complaining about the controls of this game. It's just like all the other games on a Wii. The remote is too sensitive and one wrong movement or one wrong point of the joystick and you're screwed, so what? Even mario is exactly the same way, it takes a WHILE to get used to using the remote to navigate.

Also don't listen to complaints about the camera angle, you can totally move it using the Dpad (the up/down/left/right arrows). And of course the game is super frustrating when you can't figure out where to go next or how to end up where you need to be, but that's the whole point, it keeps you so entertained and the frustration turns into the desire to keep trying to play it in order to figure it all out. I also love the story line. And some things take so long to figure out, but the second you figure out where and HOW you need to jump somewhere, you have this "DUH" moment and start laughing that it took you so long to get there.

UPDATE: Got stuck in the arena, can't beat the Jawless Brute, the controls on the speed kill are a bit flawed. After beating Tomb Raider, I can say that I like Tomb Raider better because there is less battle and even when there are battles, they're BEATABLE!

I've played two of the Prince of Persia series, and while I've been very impressed with the play action and storyline, there is a tad missing that I cannot quite put my finger on. Still, a very fun game that incorporates some play aspects I was previously unfamiliar with. Well worth the time and money, if you like third-person perspective games such as this.

It's great.

Just few words are enough: I bought it for my son who's not a child but a guy of 22 and he really enjoys it for hours. It is like many of those games, a very good exercise for reflexes.

I like it

Personally, I have not played the Prince of Persia series. I saw it, thought it looked cool, and enjoyed it. While it may be true that it's simply a re-release of the PS2 game, at least it's still a good game. It gives Wii-ers the option of playing games that are proven good.
I like the action and the prince's abilities are really cool. It's very challenging but direct. Overall it's a good game.

Good story, fun gameplay, and ok visuals... but outdated

I had fun and that's the main point. Combat is pretty bad with the Wii remote but not impossible to learn, but the stealth attacks are great fun to watch and perform. A few glitches and the visuals look like Xbox, which isn't bad, but could be a LOT better.

Loved the Prince of Persia Trilogy! Had it for our Computer and we completed all three challenges. So when I saw that another one came out for the Wii I though great! Something more interactive for my husband to play. However, I was disappointed to find out that even though the game had a different name it was the same exact game as the TWO THRONES. So unfortunately I feel as though I wasted money!

Lame

I'm gonna have to disagree with Lisa Shea. This game blows! This is coming from someone who has never really played any of the Prince of Persia franchises. If your idea of fun is jumping and hanging from ledges by all means this is your game. I will however give it up for the controls which are pretty responsive and intuitive. Try Zelda or Godfather for a better time.
