My wife is a huge fan of the entire "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise, so we rented this game from the local Blockbuster and she fell in love. We ended up purchasing the game from Amazon.
Gameplay is exciting, it's neat being able to wave the Wiimote like a sword and interacting with the various characters. The story line follows the movie fairly closely, and the "mini games" like Pirate Dice only add to the enjoyment! After you've played it a few times it may seem like the gameplay is a little short, but you have to remember this game does follow the movie plot. Some of the sword fights are quite long, and become progressively more difficult towards the end of the game. Overall, we thought it's a pretty good game for the Wii.
Tons of Fun

This will entertain you for months. Loved it. The graphics are not state of the art but they're not bad either. The adventure part is what makes it so much fun. The only people who don't like this game are unhappy people who can't be pleased anyhow. -And they probably vote democrat too. haha
At worlds end?

I received this as a christmas gift and thought "rock on!" however, what they don't tell you is that it is harder than one would think. After mos. of playing and flailing my arm around like a nutjob...I still can't get past the level that takes on the black pearl...as it were, it is still fun, if not a little bit frustrating.
Disappointing and Poorly Made

As a big fan of the series, I was looking forward to playing this game. Sword fighting seems like a natural use for the Wii remote. Unfortunately, this game is poorly constructed and the sword fighting is anything but intuitive. There is no subtlety to the sword combinations, which leaves the user flailing around with a sore arm. The game objectives can be difficult to figure out and the graphics are sub-par. The fighting is repetitive and gets boring pretty quickly. The button mashing action sequences will leave you frustrated as you do them over and over and over again until you get it right.
If you're looking for a Wii game that features strong Wii control features and well as good looking graphics and a well thought out storyline, then look to Zelda Twilight Princess or Resident Evil 4. Pirates has all the look and feel of a hurriedly rushed out movie tie-in. The only mildly amusing part is seeing the video game character version of Keith Richards. But that is not enough to make me recommend this game to anyone.
Not a very good game

This game is not good. First there is really no story or anything. You just jump from one fight to another. Also the controls for it are terrible. Do not buy this game. It is terrible. I rented the game because I had heard it wasn't good. It isn't. It sucks.
Good fun

This review is being written by my 11-year-old. When I first got this game, I knew it would be fun to play. The graphics are very good and it would not disapoint anyone. The gameplay was even better. The only thing is you can't choose your character. At first some people wouldn't like it but eventually after a period of time you will get used to it. The game is a short one though, but there are other modes that are equally fun. This wouldn't be a boring game because it is also challenging. If the game was longer, I would rate it more stars than 4. Also more than half the game is Dead Man's Chest and only some is At World's End. Even though it has less levels of At World's End, it passes your time and you'll be playing for a long time. Some features you wouldn't understand but overall this a very fun game and I would recommend it for people who have a Wii.

This one seemed to have a lot of potential. Using the Wiimote to control the sword seems like a good idea..until you play the game. All that swishing plus the missed swishes really ads up to a frustrating experience. I had this one for about a week before it went on eBay.
Fun as hell, boring visually...

well i bought this game and got what i knew was coming to me. the adventure was great but the game lacked in the overall look compared to its xbox 360 version which is completely acceptable considering wii owners know about the wiis graphics capabilities, lets put it this way its mapping is similar to some old arcade games like house of the dead...but the characters up close look great. the sword fights in this game...well i would say pretty much the whole game u will be spending time flicking ur arm around like so nutjob....sometimes there are so many soldiers to defeat at the end i gotta take a brake cause my wrist is so soar....but thats the fun in it the ability to actually physicaly fight..... but anyway this game was one of the new greats for wii unlike spiderman
A good but short game

I am a kid and I bought this game as my first game for the wii, being as I am a pirates of the caribbean fan. The game itself is fun, with the swordplay being really cool, but the game is way too short. It has around 8 levels, each one taking 15-30 minuets. You can also do Challenge mode and dueling, but the story is really short. I beat the game in 2 and a half hours. Also, only half the game is at worlds end, the other half is deadman's chest.Overall I was disapointed.

Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End is without a doubt the best looking Pirate game I have ever seen! And so it is to my utmost disappointment that the gameplay does not make use of such outstanding artwork. This "T" for Teen rated game follows the movie plot of Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest and the newly released Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End. The game takes players to many of the locations found in the two movies, such as Port Royal, Tortuga, Isla Cruces, Singapore, Davy Jones' Locker and of course the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman. Unfortunately, little to no room is given to explore or interact with these magnificent looking environments. Instead the game sends the player from one un-imaginative fight into the next, while collecting random objects for extra rewards along the way. Some jumping and balancing sections try to mix things up, but even these activities quickly become repetitive. Pirates requires absolutely no thinking because only one objective can be completed at a time and only one predefined path can be taken. The game offers two different Multiplayer games, where players can duel each other in a sword fight or battle in splitscreen mode with or against each other to defeat enemies. Overall Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End is (another) mediocre movie tie-in action game. Leaving a lot of potential but no follow through.
