This game deserves more than what people are giving it. Its great fun, and is worth the price especially if you don't have any other.

Super?!? Super CRUD Is More Like it!

I can't believe all the good reviews this game is getting. I just have to chime in with my opinion on this game. Simply put, they broke Bust-A-Move. They removed almost all of the game play modes; they removed the edit mode; they made the controls unresponsive (they take a second to respond); they added annoying and distracting backgrounds; the bubbles have been graphically-enhanced so they they, too, are now annoying to look at; they took away all the cool characters and added a bunch of Pokemon rejects; and they added a TON of long loading screens.

Most of that is pretty much self-explanatory, so I don't need to elaborate on it. However, I will give you a list of what few game play modes there are in the game:

- 1 Player: Training / Normal / Classic
- CPU Battle: Normal / Expert
- 2 Player Battle: Normal / Expert / Chain Reaction

Yup, that's it.

I rented this game to see if I had made a mistake buying Bust-A-Move 4 (for the Playstation 1). Well, I can tell you this, my purchase of Bust-A-Move 4 was definitely well worth it. I have Super Bust-A-Move 2 on my rental list. Although I suspect that it won't be much better than this one, I'll still be optimistic and give it a try.

If you want a good Bust-A-Move game to play on your Playstation 2, get yourself Bust-A-Move '99 or Bust-A-Move 4 (both for the Playstation 1). Both are essentially the same, though 4 adds pulleys to the puzzles. Sure the graphics look like they came off of a SNES, but is that really such a bad thing?!? The load times are short (to non-existent at times), the characters look cool (in that odd-Japanese way), and most of all, the controls are extremely responsive and there are a ton of game play modes.

A guilty pleasure. I'm not into shoot-em-up games, so I have limited options on PS2. So I took a chance on SBAM, even though I'd never played it. In terms of actual game play, the game is great: deceptively simple but addictive. Think of it as a colorful combination of Tetris and Space Invaders. The only drawback (and it's a big one) is the cutesy-pie graphics, a almost nauseating combination of Pokemon, Teletubbies, and Powerpuff Girls....

Superb

I like Bust-A-Move, but I went from playing the classic to the new one and this one kinda stinks. First of all, they made all colorful pink and pretty with flowers and stuff. Second, the classic sound effects are replaced with a yelling Japenese girl! I t is so annoying. I recomend the SNES Bust-A-Move and I strongly recomend Bust-A-Move 2 Arcade Edition for the Nintendo 64. They may be hard to find, but it is better than this.

DO NOT GET!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All I want/need to say is, I am a girl gamer, and Scotty is completely wrong, I hate these kind of games. If you want your girlfriend to like games (although I could never figure out why girls/women DONT play games) , buy one for her that actually has some thinking required (and romance, story, involving characters etc), like an RPG (FF10/FF7). Games like this will make her hate gaming even more. Of course, I could just be an extreme minority :P.

A little something different

This game took my by suprise. Im more of a rpg and sports game kind of guy and dont really take to kindly to puzzle type games, but this one is something different. I mean there is only so much madden that you can play straight. Sometimes you want a little something different, a little something that you might not have played before. This is definately the game to pick up.

Most addictive game ever!

Bust-A-Move HAS to be the only game from the 80's that is not only still around, but is just as popular, and getting better with every release. This is the most colorful and complex version yet - my only complaint is that there doesn't seem to be as many characters as the previous versions. This game is more addictive than Tetris, and fun for ANY age!

This game is SO addicting...
