I've had the GC version when it came out, but as time passed I had to sell it. So I recently purchased a PS3 and I just couldn't live without having this game. The premium edition is a very nice collector's item for such a brilliant and entartaining game. I'm keeping this for the rest of my life!
Great played it and can't put the controller down

What can I say this is without question the greatest RE in the series!!!!! The graphics, gameplay, everything is right on "Q" for what a PS2 game should be. I will be honest and say that the Gamecube version is graphically superior to the PS2 version but who the hell cares?!!!!! The only thing that really truly matters is the fact that this gem has finally been released to the PS2. Those of us who hung tight with sony and didn't jump ship just for this game after it was announced for the GC can finally rejoice in the glory that is the first definitive sequel since the Code Veronica release almost seven years ago. a rather lenghty dry spell from capcom. Not with standing the disaster that was OutBreak. The weapons are awesome in this game with very nice updates to the sniper rifle, mine thrower, and rocket launcher. The game is in a way a slight turn by capcom in terms of there are'nt as many puzzles to solve. Which is something this franchise has always had a considerable emphasis on. This is just pure adrenaline, Lay the smackdown on their candy asses jaw dropping fun!!!! I in a way kind of felt by my first impression that this was kind of castlevanyia meets RE in a way. You know being in that dark far away land surrounded by hostile locals. The only thing I really have to gripe about is the loss of the auto aim feature. But other than that this game is flawless for a PS2 RE game. Replay value is awesome consiering that there is an exclusive side adventure only available to the PS2. In addition to the Assignment ada minigame there is a lenghtier mini game called Separate ways where you get to cover more or less the same ground as leon, but through ada's perspective. You also have the option of starting a new game after you clear it the first time, and when you replay you can start the new game with everything you had in the end of the last game. Bottom line is if you already played this for the gamecube then you ain't missing a whole lot. The premium edition is definitley a must have for the die hard RE fan. For only 10 dollars more you get a limited edition laser cell artwork of Ada Wong Limited to only 60,000, and each has a certificate of authenticity and is individually serialized. You also get a exclusive prologue booklet that kind of chronicles the stories and gives a little synopsys of each RE going back to the first one that kind of adds to the story a little, and finally you get a making of RE 4 DVD with the package as well. Bottom line is: if you are a die hard PS2 fan that hasn't had the opportunity to play this game until just now all I can say is get it get it get it get it NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will not be disapointed!
