I rented this because I absolutely love CTR and there aren't that many games out there like it but this game isn't good graphic wise and it's really hard to steer. There aren't enough arrows to show you where to go and it's all guessing.
RENT THIS FIRST !

But's that pretty much shows the best parts of the game. The graphics are good, but I found that the tracks were very hard to follow, and the time that it took to get where the game was fun took too long. This game seems to try to be like Mario Kart, but it just doesn't pull it off. If you're looking for a fun, silly time, don't get this game...you will only end up frustrated.

I got this title as a alternative game for my younger daughter. The graphics are ok (I rechecked the box to see if I had a PS1 game). The controls are simple. The game tracks take an extreme amount of sharp turns in an attempt to increase its difficulty, but only increases its frustration. The worlds are bright but not fun. Save your money for a better title.
Not enough effort

I bought this game after playing the Dreamcast version of "Re-Volt, " which offered several 2 player options (including capture the flag and a game soccer), real life RC cars, a catchy sound track, and realistic radio control courses (including city streets and playgrounds). "RC Revenge Pro" is the PS2 follow up to this game, and offers a fraction of the features.
The cars are too cartoony. The courses are fantasy worlds (including space and jungle worlds) which diminish RC realism greatly. The soundtrack is annoying at best. This game feels more like "Mario Kart" then a good RC title. There are only three game play option offered; championship circuit, single race, and two player race. The controls are far less realistic then I had expected also.
The game is fun, but this is not a PS2 worthy effort. A large number of courses and cars do help, slightly. Anyone who would rent this title will find the fun has worn thin by the time they return it. I wish I had rented it before I purchased it. Fans of Re-Volt will find this game to be a let down. Fans of "Mario Kart" might be amused for a while, but even that game at least offered a 4 player mode.
Lee Krecklow is right.

Lee Krecklow created a review. He accurately pointed out...

Do yourself a favor, and rent it first. Its an OK game, but for 50 bucks, you might be able to find a better value. I have a 4 year old son, so finding relatively non-violent games is difficult. This one seems to please him.
Gave 3 stars because I got it used

This game is NO "Re-Volt". I have Re-volt on the PC, and absolutely love it. So I figured I would pick up a used copy of RC Revenge Pro. I'm glad I only paid $3.99 for it used. This game has none of the magic of Re-Volt. The corses are Hard and Not even realistic. In Re-volt you at least had that realistic feel / sound of the cars with the realistic enviroment (neighborhoods, galleries, stores, etc.) This was just a poor try at making a newer version. If Acclaim was smart they should have just Updated Re-Volt and released it as Re-Volt 2 on PS2.
Most addicting game I've played.

If you like racing games this is probably the most challenging game for PS2 out there. Over 25 tracks plus you can make your own with about every type of track there is. I gave it 4 stars overall because I think the graphic could of been better for PS2 standards. But it's exceptionally better than the PS1 version. Just try it. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Bought this game...really like it. Ease of play and terrific weapons, not to mention a small slew of tracks to run on.
RC Revenge Pro a must have.

With a large number of racing games available for the PS2, RC Revenge Pro brings a refreshing twist to the racing world. From a balanced variety of RC cars to choose from, multiple championship races, time trials, and even a track editor, it makes the game a must have. And just when you think that you have mastered a track, you have to learn to deal with the many weapons that are available that could possibly fry your electronics, stick you in a puddle of goo, trap you in a watery bubble, knock you out with a bolt of lightning, or blast you with a anti-vehicle mine. Not only do you get to drive on several tricky tracks, but you also take to the water as your RC Car turns into a speed boat. The graphics of the game are excellent with vibrant colors and great looking 3D polygons. If your looking for a break from the traditional racing games, I'd recommend this game for you.
