This game is the best yet. I played it for 24 hours straight through thanksgiving. It is so awesome. definately a great addition to your gaming library.

cant compare to the second monster rancher

ya so this game has extra things that mr1 or 2 didnt have which was mainly graphics.this game is same thing as the ones from the past but had less time put into it.i cant believe how many reviews said this game was the best so far,all your really playing is same game as mr1 and 2 but the monsters have 3-d improvements but it has less monsters than the ones b4 it.same idea through the whole game.so i got a little addicted,but that was because it has pretty much the same stuff.i have all the monster rancher games and yet this is the only one i wanted to take back.this game has a lack of originality.you can tell they spent more time on the graphics then the game.i'm a true monster rancher fan and if your gonna get a game get mr2,that game is to be said is the best,not this game where they tried to make the same as the ones b4 but seemingly failed.they tried changing certain stuff that they shouldnt have.overall i say this game is average.i warn you not to get it.

this game is fun. there are new monsters to unlock, the battle system is good, and the story line is good too. but lolocking monsters can take a long time if you have alot of C.D's. And 1 thing i thought is really good, once you unlock a monster there is a profile of which monsters you get and if a monster you really like dies, you can unlock it for the profile. i kinda wish they didn't take out the Phonix monster from moster Racher 2.
For the power of the monster i suggest you power up 1.) life 2.)speed 3.) power. i've done best with the 3 things. over all the game is fun.

this game is the best ever. all of the different was you can get monsters just boggles my mind. i hope every one buy this games and it becomes number 1. not only is this a kids game but for adults to. it is a great adventer with the monster you like best.
so go out and buy this game it will be one of the best.

This game is pretty cute. It's graphics are a little lame compared to what they are supposed to be being it is a PS2 game, but I guess that's what they do to you when your only so young. One main problem I had with this game is that it is incredibly boring. Every 5 minutes or so it supposedly a "new" day, and every day you train your monster. Every month you feed it, and every season you go venturing. It's really practically the same thing ever 20 min or so, and the only differences is when you battle and when you move on to a new training land. Really, I don't think that you should get it unless your child is really easily amused.

The game is fun at first, but it becomes very repetitive and the overall game moves very slowly. Unless you have lots of patience it can get downright boring.
