This game is awsome I have beat it and it is so wonderful Buy this game for your kids! And this is a game that should be game of the year! press circle to spit fire square to charge X to jump XX glide triangle to zoom or drop in mid flight. Some enemys in the 5th world can't be flamed or charged go to the shrink RAY!

First of all I'm not very good at video games but Spyro the dragon is so much fun that I couldn't stop playing it! At first it was hard but then I got the official guied to spyro the dragon and it was a whole lot easyer for me. If you want to get this game(like you wouldn't!)then you'll have to get the strategy book it makes the game a whole lot funer!

Everything changed in video games when we were introducted to Spyro the Gyro Dragon, as we call him in our house, was found by my eldest son who is (eight) 8 years old. No longer would my seven (7) year old wait his turn. My youngest son who is (six) 6 years old would grab the joystick to show his brothers that he could be as cunning and smart as they are. Spyro is exciting, amazing, reveting, HE IS THE DRAGON. Since we met Spyro we decided to collect every Spyro game that is sold. Now everybody's turn is put on half-hour increments. We are now so satisfied and so happy to know our dragon, who is good enough to eat!

Another great game! My daughter who is 6 loves this game. She would stay glued to the controller, if I let her. Graphics are great and the verbal hints as you advance are very helpful.

This is an awesome game. You can play it for hours at a time. The 3-D effects are outstanding. There is little violence so it's great for all ages. If you buy a shock handle, then you can actually feel Spyro running into a wall on accident and getting hit. It's so fun to play. Everyone needs to go out and buy Spyro the Dragon!
If you only buy one game, buy this one!

This was the first game we bought, and we have not enjoyed any subsequent purchase nearly as much! There are so many worlds, and so many little tricks to master, that you should never grow tired of it. And the ridiculous challenge of getting every last piece of treasure to FINISH the game, even after you think you have WON by beating the Gnasty Gnorc at the end, is a brilliant twist. But you have to be patient (and a bit obsessive!) to go after that.

oh mi gosh i love this game. it might be easy but it rocks. spyro is very cute and so is sparks (the dragonfly) :-)

This is such a cute game! The graphics are very smooth and the animation of the characters is amazing! You'd swear they were alive. For instance in the magic level there are these bird-like critters that stand around tossing some red fruit to a large monster, when you get close to it the bird looks at you, leaps on the monsters back, points at you and the monsters charges YOU. Or in another world the frog soldiers will either try to attack you, cower in fear of you, or turn around and moon you while laughing! It's so hilarious. I bought this game without previewing it and I don't regret it at all. It's a blast to play.

Action/platform games have been around since the days of the Nintendo. The Sony PlayStation has had its share of platformers, but not very many great ones. The Nintendo 64 on the other hand, has had many great ones. But finely the wait is over for a great action/platformer on the PlayStation, as Spyro the Dragon is a very good game. The story is like this: Gnasty Gnorc, supreme ruler of all that is bad and ugly, has been banished from the peaceful calm of the Dragons World.Due to this severe lack of disrespect, Gnasty feels it is his personal right to steal all the dragon treasure and go postal on all dragons(well not exactly, but he does freeze them). The only dragon not frozen was a young wee puff of smoke called Spyro. And is Spyro going to let Gnast Gnorc do all of this? Heck no! Spyro the Dragon is on a mission to regain all the dragon treasure and free Dragon World of all badness. Spyro backs the story up with incredible graphics and Disney-like animation. Unfortantley, Spyro suffers from poor camera angles, repitive levels, and a high frustration factor. But overall Spyro the Dragon is worth a look.
